In the Sun and sounds like opinion so almost certainly horseshit.

Spurs could hijack Leicester’s move for Kelechi Iheanacho in order to speed up Kyle Walker’s move to Manchester City

Mauricio Pochettino keen on City striker along with Borussia Dortmund and Monaco

SPURS may take Kelechi Iheanacho to speed up Kyle Walker’s move to Manchester City.

Leicester last night matched City’s £20million price tag for the Nigerian striker.

But Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is also interested — along with Borussia Dortmund and Monaco.

City boss Pep Guardiola wants to sign England right-back Walker, 27.

But the clubs hit a stalemate as Spurs are holding out for £50m.

Iheanacho could help push the move through with the 20-year-old going to White Hart Lane in a player-plus-cash deal.

Different type of striker but I see his career taking the same shape as Lukaku after his failed stint or I should say lack of opportunities at Chelsea. Dortmund and Monaco sniffing around, who have an eye for talent, also speaks volumes.

Would be a good signing, but I can't see him swapping one bench for another.

Would be a brilliant signing if we could make it happen. Hopefully we get something more concrete soon.

Player plus cash deals are so rare.. and even when they are linked, like Lukaku/Rooney, the deals are considered separate. Wishful thinking from the Sun, as ever.

However, he's a decent finisher and would be a welcome addition - better suited to the team than Janssen, I'd say. Leicester had been willing to pay a lot for him and if City still want Walker then Spurs should make them pay the 50m+ with any sweetener on top of that. Lukaku at 75m, Sigurdsson upwards of 40m, so they can pay up for Walker.

Hasn't he played some in the wide areas too? Feel like I saw him play on the left side a couple times.

I can't see it. If Levy is playing hardball over the price of Walker then I can't see City not adding the difference to this deal. He looked a great prospect though when he first came through.

Iheanacho career in England
PL - 127.8 minutes for a goal.
All (PL,FA,CL,EFL)- 84.2 minutes for a goal

That's better than Kane though he has only played 2000 minutes.

Cash + player never works. If City are so desperate, they may do it. But can't see it.
If we get him, we have great chance of title within 2 years

Weird he hasn't had more chances at Man City but then again Guardiola doesn't seem to rate Aguero that highly.

If there's a chance to get him we should go for it. Even if it meant we had to move Janssen on to accommodate him, as he's a much better striker.

So Leicester have agreed a fee with City, sure he will go there at this point.
I would argue it's good to have waited coz now we know city values him at 20m only. If we are really interested this gives us something to work with , else City could bump his value by 15m & say iheanacho+10 or 15m for Walker.

Having said this, once again think swap deal won't happen

Been keen on this ever since it looked like he was leaving. Gettable, used to England. and pretty good value given the current market
