Harry Kane lobbed goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny from the halfway line in stoppage time to give us a 3-2 win over Juventus in Singapore on Sunday. :joyful:

I don't usually bother with friendlies, but this was great, particularly watching the academy boys. Skippy played very well , great for his confidence. Kane's goal a worldy! What a shame it wasn't in the Prem, it would be goal of the season!

Here's hoping its the start of a fantastic week for us with a few more quality players joining.

De Ligt is going to have his work cut out with Szczesny behind him.

in fairness to Szczesny he was laughing and joking with Kane about it after the game.

I was walking in Sussex (Seven Sisters) all day, 'cause it was a beautiful day and as part of getting fit again after not being able to do hill-walking for a long time.

If anyone has a link to extended highlights of the match, don't let me stop you...

The clip I saw was dreadful quality, was it Lucas who won the ball for Kane? I'm really enjoying how well Lucas presses high up - he's constantly watching for the slightest in and goes for it, hoping for a stellar season for him, I like his attitude and how hard he works.

So the Seven Sisters Road leads to hills called the Seven Sisters. Learn something new every hour. Sorry, no match highlights from me.

I liked this 'friendly'. Every goal by both teams was celebrated like it meant something.

Kane's goal was absolutely awesome.

Was very impressed by us yesterday.
Yes, of course, it was a friendly and thus the result meant nothing, though the performance and understanding between the players was first-rate especially when you take into consideration it being so early in pre-season.

A serious answer to a silly question:

The Seven Sisters for which the road was named were seven big trees - oaks, I think - that gave the neighbourhood its name.

The Seven Sisters in Sussex (in the opposite direction, of course) are seven hills along the chalk cliffs between Eastbourne and Seaford. It's one of the great English walks, but I hadn't done it for about 25 years.

Someone sorted me out with highlights via PM.
