Guarantee if someone like Aguero said what he said he wouldn't be getting this reaction, the 'banter' seems a little too forced as if the public are all too happy to take the piss out of him, reckon it's because he's unpopular and in any walk of life he's seen as a bit of an odd ball or an inbetweener with the way he speaks etc...I said before the public have a weird relationship with Kane from when he broke through the one season wonder jibes, the EURO 2016 debacle and the fact he was taking corners which wasn't his fault, everything he does gets over scrutinised because it doesn't fit with people's perceptions of a world class football player so he's labelled a freak. People still doubt him because of his persona...a guy called Harry from Walthamstow who talks with a lisp isn't enough for people and becomes an easy target for people, it's sad but it's predictable.

Not that I'm one to dwell on this, I've said a number of times that people need to move on from this but this is bullying as it's coming from figureheads who should know better, they're picking on an easy target and having banter at his expense because they know he's not going to come back and say anything. If it's coming from figureheads then all they're doing is encouraging people to carry on. PFA chairman shouldn't have said what he said because it makes the PFA look really amateur by the way hence the need for an apology, it's really not good look for them as they're meant to support players not make fun of them at their expense.

Bandwagon jumping clickbait, plain and simple. Would not be half the fuss if people did not rate Kane, but they do, and rightly so. Its the old British trait of building them up before you knock them down.
Harry seems level headed and sure he will use this as motivation to go on and score even more goals, as a way of shoving their jokes and articles up their rears.

Remember how klinsmann had the diving reputation before joining us? Kane needs to follow his example and tie this situation into a celebration like Jurgen did- it’ll be all over then

Yeah that'd be funny, next goal he's nowhere near he should just point to himself and take the congratulations from his teammates.

Might stop the arsey comments.

I found Matterface and Goughie on Talksport particularly irritating the other week when they were constantly joking about it long after it had already been done to death. Went over the line imo
Don’t know how anyone listens to that station. ALL of the presenters have an uncanny knack at being spectacularly shit at what they do.......As well as the goading & all round shit****ery it shocks me it’s still going!!!!

They are jokes, maybe some false and some in bad taste but they are jokes none the less. They are pretty factual too, smalling did indeed have you in his pocket harry and imo you didnt touch the ball for 'your' goal. I fucking hate snowflakes.

That would be hilarious if the whole team ran to celebrate with Kane as if he had scored when someone else did

The issue here is not about being able to take a joke or even bullying; if the tweet came from some Man United site it’d be fine, it’d be typical fan gloating behaviour.
If it’d come from United’s official Twitter it’d be embarrassing.
But the fact it came from the FA is astonishing. What a massive error of judgment. It actually sums up that organisation these days. Pathetic.

A joke is a joke wherever it comes from, regardless of its content. The FA is allowed to be funny. Its borderline extreme politically correctness saying your offended by this.
