I was very confident in the run up. Woke up this morning and that confidence was gone.

Now it's back. My heart says Spurs win 2-1 (their injuries are a problem), my head says 2-2.

Christ, this is a really great tie to be involved in. That defensive record of theirs is some fearsome shit, and suggests the first goal is crucial. Ideally an early one for us that makes them change their game plan a bit.

If anyone drones on about one of our players needing to move on to achieve something, just give an eye roll and remember the build up to this game. Our lads have earned this and what a glorious statement it'll be if we can show again what this team is made of.

Tough, tough game. Stats suggest that they should really win 2 or 3 nil- they never concede goals and are in fantastic form. For all our excellence, we go through periods where we look like shipping a goal in most matches.
However, they are missing key players and don't know us that well- so I think we can still fly in a bit under the radar for this game. And most of their great results have been against indifferent Serie A sides, and they won't have come across a striker as good as Kane for a while.
I think we can score a goal. 2-1 to them would be a positive result and we're quite capable of doing that, or even better.

Excitement building up intensely... Good feeling !

Here in Ireland we have TV3 showing the game and I just found out that the studio gang is
Harry Redknapp, Neil Lennon and Brian Kerr.

Not too bad, we've had worse LOL

I think we will beat them Home and Away, feeling confident that we will put on an excellent performance tonight, hopefully defensively we are at it, my only worry is no Toby and them catching us on the counter because we will have lots of possession.

If we do lose just have to to hope it’s by a slim margin to give ourselves a decent go at Wembley.

Like everyone has said this is a big test for us as a team but we go into it with real form against top teams. They will be very wary of us. Let's hope it is a good game of football where the result does not rest on officials getting it right

A repeat of our San Siro performance from 2011 please. Quietly confident we can get something, preferably nick an away goal.

Juventus are unbeaten in their last 22 Champions League home games (W14 D8), their longest ever run without defeat in the competition on home soil. They have also kept nine clean sheets in their last 13 home games in the competition. They have lost only two of their last 19 CL games (v Real Madrid in last season's final and Barcelona in this season's group stages), winning 12 and drawing 5. However as per last season's CL, they have allowed the fewest shots on target - 2.3 per game. They have reached the final of the CL in 2 of the last 3 seasons.
We were the first side to beat Madrid in 30 Champions League games, time for another notch on the bat.

Very nervous but equally excited about this match.

I would love 0-0 but I have a feeling it will be 1-1.

Either way suck it up lads it's matches like this we've been building for since Poch has been in charge. We meet these guys toe to toe. They are gonna be just as scared of us as we will be wary of them. Let's do this!
1-1 is the better result isn't it?

Surely 1-1 would be better than 0-0...

I dont understand how people are not more concerned they had an extra day rest. Where as we are a team who deplete our physical energy more than others and potentially our biggest competitive advantage will be effected due to the recent arsenal match. Regardless of how good their defence is, it really is asking so much from our players mentally and physically.
Our players are, on average, 15 years younger than theirs

We are? Bookies have them around 5/4, us around 3/1. We've upset bigger odds than that before....

Well, if ever there was a game we need Eriksen to shine it's this one. He is the key to winning this. With such an excellent defense, we will need all.his footballing grey matter.

I think they will stifle him. (Thats what id do).

This game has kind of crept up on me out of nowhere. I've been so focused on the Utd, Liv, Ars triple whammy that I've not allowed myself my time to be distracted by the build up to playing Juve :woot::nailbiting:

It's the sort of game I used to dream about when we were looking at the 'sky 4' enviously during the Jol era and genuinely think we can get something out of the game. My only nagging doubt is that over the past few seasons Juve have established themselves back amongst the top teams in Europe and know how to cynically manage these knock-out ties. Heart and head say different things with 2-1 win (heart) and a frustrating 'what could have been' 0-2 defeat (head).

Main thing I'm hoping for is that the tie is still in the balance for the return leg as I don't want them to come to Wembley with the idea of closing out the game with a bore draw.

not looked at any bookie stuff, I just know Juve are super good again this season. most goals in their league, joint best defence, unbeaten at home.
