Ryan Fraser has more than all of them, plays in an inferior team & did it in the PL.

Are assists the barometer for player judgement?

Not dismissing anyone's opinion, but apart from myself, based on previous discussions, it appears nobody would be overly excited if we were linked with Fraser.

Fraser and Bournemouth play against completely different styles than we do. Frasers a good player but is main strength is pace.

We play against teams that double bank that need a lot more craft to get through and i'm not convinced he has that.

When I said I'd like Fraser a month or so back, I got loads of agree ratings, tbf to the good folk SC

yup. seems a lot of smoke around this one suddenly too. i know we've been keen for a while, that release clause must be like crack for levy surely, even if he wasn't such a top player.

Read somewhere that Ziyech also has a buyout clause at 25m. Sod it, buy them both.

If Sancho is statistically better and much younger I think I would prefer him, he was very good in our first UCL game against Dortmund

Plus he is HG

It has to be said:
- it's a position we arguably need creative reinforcements in
- if current trajectory is maintained, he's very unlikely to go down in value
- he's HG
- it would be a statement

The only issue is available funds. If it stopped us getting a good CM then it's the wrong move, but otherwise I'd bloody love us to get this guy.

And he'd only cost £100m more, in all likelihood.

Ornstein (BBC) said as much yesterday. Consensus was he was nailed on for Utd for a huge figure until he got put off by what a shambles they are. I think he's expected to stay now.

That said if you gave him a 6 year deal and get Dortmund to agree to spread the fee (unlikely) it could become interesting compared to say Zaha at £50-60m.

I have seen Brandt play only a few times. Where is his best position and where would he fit in ? Is he a CE replacement or will he continue to play deeper / wider

He can play Left or Right wing, but over the past 4-5 months has played as an AM and done well here also.

Pacy, good shot, good dribbler, eye for a pass and comfortable on either foot.

Excellent prospect for the price mooted.

5 goals 10 assists in 20 games as an AM.

Never going to happen.

Whilst I agree it's very unlikely, if Eriksen was to insist on going (which would cover most of the fee) we can offer 1st team football with Son and him either side of Kane and Alli, CL, new stadium, and Prem/London/England as well.

But then I might just be slightly biased as he'd be my first choice transfer out of anyone!

£22 million for a very versatile central/wide player who has got 6G's and 14A's this season and only 23 is a bargain. Could add the creative spark that we lack if Christian isnt playing/not on it.

Still not going to happen. First Dortmund would have to agree to sell and Sancho to leave. Then we would have to agree a fee, which would be 100m or higher (they have already sold Dembele, so they know how to do it), we would never pay that money for one player. And IF he was available I can guarantee that the biggest clubs would be sniffing and we would never beat Madrid or Barcelona to him. Possibly United, but even that is 50/50 atm.

I can't see how a stadium would turn a player either way. It's always about the vision, the pay and the possiblity of trophies.

The problem for a wide forward coming to our club for the here and now is that they see Son, Moura and the Alli and of coming to play AM, Eriksen. Surely they are thinking where they fit in and how much first team football they get ?

For this reason we should get another Son type that can act as a back up for Kane as well as the AM positions. Would then give us extra attacking depth both out wide and up front. It doesn't even need to be someone of outstanding quality imo.

I think the manager likes to have a smaller, compact squad which means he wants quality. I don’t claim to have seen more of Brandy then perhaps two or theee time but he doesn’t strike me as Son type replacement or stand in as I haven’t seen him play that far forward. But as some have said above he can play wide and also AM and that sounds very appealing.
