The Dortmund links are interesting to me. I thought Hazard was nailed on for them, Reus, Gotze and Hazard is really strong, especially with Sancho off the bench. Unless Brandt is going to displace Gotze (who had a really good year) I think its a weird move, but if Hazard doesn't happen it makes a ton of sense.

Really hope it’s on his end and that he just doesn’t want to leave Germany (I suspect this is the case).

If we weren’t interested or didn’t offer enough we are idiots.

Well, looks like we were at least after him..

Looks like he wants to stay in Germany if that's true

Btw, do Dortmund pay big wages? I always considered them about our size of a club, in the shadow of their mega-star rivals Bayern Munich. Could be wrong there...

Not that big wages Marco reus is apparently they’re highest paid on €160,000 a week then a couple around the €140,000 mark and the rest 40-80k

Reus similar to Bale has a massive sponsorship package on top of his wages.

Brandt would have been an excellent acquisition but he’s still potential as opposed to quality.

If he's going to stay in Germany for the time being, you'd have thought he'd put in a release clause into his new contract if he ever wants to play for one of the 'superstar' clubs in Europe.
