£21 millions is a good price for Brandt. My guess is that he's either going to Liverpool or Bayern.......

There's always one deal that on paper looks perfect for the club and yet we never even seem in the race. For me this season, this is that deal.

He's been playing more centrally this season and has looked great but can also play out-wide giving us a lot of flexibility.

The bit about us 'holding talks with the player's father' sounds very much like us and is reminiscent of the Sonny deal. Has always looked a real talent and that is a really good price. Certainly room for a wide player with such a large number of assists in our squad. I'm sure Kane would love a player like him in the side.

Edit: You would think we'd struggle to compete with Liverpool if their interest is true however due to the Klopp factor (Pool fan at work mentioned they wanted him a few days back), let alone if Bayern or Dortmund go big for him.

Wacthed him once this season against Bayern and he played in midfield trio, not on wing that's supposedly his best position and he was amazing. He could cover couple of positions, seems like a great young player.

Interesting that he has flourished in a central creative role. Eriksen replacement? Could get Brandt and Ndombele for roughly the fee we'd get from Madrid.

I hope Eriksen stays but that could be a cracking way of using the funds if he did go.

If Eriksen does stay just think what an upgrade Brandt would be on Lamela

I said in the Grealish thread, he'd be a great upgrade to current squad but not good enough to replace Eriksen but getting both Brandt and Grealish would provide us such better balance in that area.

I think I saw Brandt say if Leverkusen qualified for UCL he would stay another season. And it seems likely they will qualify.

For me, this is the link I’ve been waiting to see. Hope there’s something in it.

So calm and classy on the ball. Creative. Works hard. Positional flexibility. Release price is about a third of his actual value. Would be a fixture in or starting 11 for years to come.

Really tough to get these guys out of Germany, but we should be throwing a silly amount of money at him to see if there’s any chance.

I hope we are throwing as much money at him as it takes to get him.

According to David Ornstein (bbc journo who is very good for arsenal apparently) he said that Liverpool don’t have a lot of money to spend so won’t be going after Brandt

You'd think they'd have £21m for a long term Klopp target that fills their last squad gap, but lets hope he's right!
