If I were him, I would go to Germany in a heartbeat. Seeing the number of English youngsters who are playing and thriving in Bundesliga and knowing that you will have the best chance to not only play and improve as a player, but also experience a different culture and country? You have to take that chance.

If he does well enough, he will be able to take his pick when it comes to choosing his next move. Move to the Premier League, go to another country and experience another culture if he enjoys it, or stay where he is. The world is his oyster.

All one of them? Where has this myth come from?

Sancho - doing well.
Nelson - doesn’t start most games.
Bennetts - sent to their second team, flopped.
Lookman was okay.
Hinds - released by Wolfsburg.
Oxford? Played a handful of games, hardly pulled up trees.

Who else are you deeming a rip roaring success over there?

Just realised my wording wasn't great, I meant "playing, with some thriving". Basically that they have the potential to thrive, playing more often than they otherwise would have done in the Premier League.

I'm not saying they're all pulling up trees, but if I were a young player I would fancy my chances a lot more in Germany. Sancho, Nelson, Lookman and potentially Hudson-Odoi were the main ones I was thinking of, though obviously the latter remains to be seen. The platform is there.

Weather there is interest or not would make much more sense for this transfer to happen in the summer. He is unlikely to be ready to help our side now and playing regularly for Sunderland and helping them get promoted is the best solution

maybe it's the desperation talking but I don't think this would be a bad deal, worse can scenario we can sign him for 6 months and sell him on in the summer, like flipping a house.

Really think he'd be a smart addition. Should be relatively cheap, obviously has ability, and he could really be a nice piece to add some overall squad depth in a couple of positions. It's a bit of a lottery ticket, but if we can't buy the finished product, this is where we need to be.

Plus look at Solanke, did fuck all at Liverpool and they got 20 mill, this kid could be worth a punt on resell value alone.

The last two times Llorente has played against League One opposition he's scored a hat trick.

Lets have a little perspective here.
Well, yeah, but Llorente was playing for us against League One opposition. That's like Maja playing for Sunderland against, umm, what's two divisions below League One these days? Celtic, or someone...

Completely fair, just pointing out Maja plays week in, week out against complete shit that has made Llorente look like a world beater in the past year.

Media Narrative - he's a registra playing for St Pauli or some other hipster team...

We should stop fucking about and make them an offer they can't refuse to bring him in now.

It's Sunderland and he's got 6 months left.

Wouldn’t put the BBC gossip column as the most reliable source but they reckon Celtic are looking him and potentially loaning back.

Ultimately down to if Poch fancies him, he fancies us, and Sunderland want some cash.

It does seem a bit strange that we've not moved quickly to try and snaffle this one.

Of course, it could well be that after his impressive season thus far, that he wants lots of minutes playing time to continue his good form.

I'd certainly not expect him to come in now, loan back option then jpin in summer at best I'd reckon.

Just watched a bit on youtube, two footed and fairly impressive. Makes you wonder why nobody has taken him already and it seems only Cardiff are keen.

We should be all over this if it’s only £2-4m. Better than any of our academy players of the same age, and absolutely better than Llorente!
