It was actually quite fitting for him in many ways.

A great player over the years who should have warranted his own special moment in his final game, without any planning or coercion, but instead thinks - nah that's not good enough, i'm going to convince both sets of managers to indulge me one last time (presumably with the promise that he'll f**k off for the foreseeable) and make a somewhat farcical display out of this.

A great career and a great **** of a man, summed up in 26mins plus a guard of honour.

So Chelsea. So John Terry.

No one else is supposed to enjoy it. In fact, the worst bit about it for me was the handful of supposedly-impartial pundits/journalists defending it. It's cringe. But everything he does is cringe. Parking in a disabled spot ( ), the audacity with which he defended himself against racially abusing Anton Ferdinand ( :shifty: ), being in his kit for TWO European trophies he didn't play in ( :D) and best/worst of all, rearranging the penalty kick line up so that he goes last, adjusting his captain's armband on the walk, and proudly stepping up to win the Champions League for Chelsea in Moscow ( ) - chuckling now as I remember what happened next :LOL:

And that's before you get into the whole Wayne Bridge situation. Craig Bellamy was spot on to shun his handshake and also say 'I know what JT is like, so nothing surprises me about him - I know I won't count on that guy, and I think everyone in football knows what the guy's like." :sneaky:

He's a bellend. But he's their bellend and they are welcome to him.

Most will recognise he's been a great defender most of the time, but say good riddance to him as well.

More disappointed in Sunderland/Moyes for going along with it. In other sports it would be considered spot fixing - not too dissimilar to the non-league goalie eating a pie on camera. I wonder if you could have requested a market on John Terry's farewell.

They've orchestrated an event to happen at a certain point in time during a game. Sounds liked match fixing to a degree if you ask me. 8 point decduction.

As for Terry, he's a prick. Nothing surprises me with him. Fucking his team mates wives, abusing relatives of 9/11 victims, racism. Take your pick.

Amazing that he'd rather do that than actually play a full game seeing as it's his last. They could have subbed him off at 88 mins to a standing ovation, but no. Good riddance.

100% this - evidently wasn't good enough for him.

No-one remember the fact that Chelsea were releasing him at the end of last season, so he had a big fanfare send-off then as well?!?
Stood out on the pitch all teary and read the fans a farewell letter... only to then sign a one year extension.
Attention seeking ****.

It was the fucking worst and it doesn't help that Terry is a massive tool.

Even if that was Ledley going off the pitch like that I would have hated it.

He's definitely going to get into some grief post career, he's absolute scum and he can't change that.

And I stupidly to have thought that was Conte's brilliant idea to get him a last chance to wear the jersey yet afraid of him not doing a good job, hence substituting him early.. And there I was giving him the last benefit of doubt and honour..

Ffs, he deserves none.. Total shameless twat.. And a guard of honour midway through the game?? Fuck off! Have some respect to the sport and opponents!! What a stupid club..

I heard he's joining his Dads drug dealing empire and pimping his old dear out. Sounds about right.

Hopefully making his whole club roll over to the wished of John fucking Terry is Moyes last action in the top division, he's had his chances now and seems to have got progressively worse and more embittered. What a shitstain of a manager.

I'd have hated it even more if it had been one of our players, simply because I expect a bit of class from our club and its employees. to be blunt, I wasn't even slightly surprised by this shabby stunt (as Danners9 said a few posts ago, it's so Chelscum and so John Terry) and I wasn't surprised by the TV pundits having their wankfest over him. I sincerely hope no Spur ever does this kind of thing.
