Watched this and thought others might find it interesting. Quite topical when we have others like Edwards that could do the same.

Well worth a watch. I remember reading about Edwards a few years ago, like most of us did, I suppose. The 'wonderkids' are under immense pressure as soon as they're put in the spotlight at 15/16/17 and it's too easy to shrug and say 'bad attitude/doesn't want to buckle down/entitled prick' when they don't turn out to be what we want them to be. I'm pretty sure their desire to make it is far greater than ours.

I feel like Bostock was the right signing but at the wrong time. We were a club bidding for the top of mid table around this time. An Occasional season where we would challenge for 4th would come about but wouldn’t be repeated for a few more seasons. We needed to play the strongest team most games which didn’t allow for rotation of youth players. But now having the quality we have in the squad it is safer to rotate and give youth players a chance compared to 10 years ago.

He sang MJ for his initiation song at his new club, killed it. Did the dance moves and everything.

Feel for the guy. Decent bloke. I hope he one day makes it back to Palace and get's the plaudits that would obviously mean the world to him.

Completely changed my view on him.

I suppose I believed the rumours about him having a bad attitude, but it goes to show that you rarely hear the full story and a lot goes on behind the scenes that isn't reported.

Also, you've got to laugh when people are a bit 'sniffy' about professional footballers playing in lower-league football, or in 'lesser' foreign leagues. In the grand scheme of things, that's still an amazing achievement and an amazing experience; getting paid a 6-figure salary to travel the world and do something you're passionate about. 99% of us can only dream of that.

Anyway, good luck to him!!

Glad to see him making his way back up to the top, it would be great for him if he could get back to the PL and probably with Palace. I think he was just a big lad in his age group at the time and then got consistently picked for the England youth teams ahead of better players because of it. I remember quite a bit of chat on it either on here or coys.

Very interesting - good to hear the story from his point of view. Good to see that he is still making progress in his career and that he's happy with where he is at the moment and being very positive.

Comes across as a very decent bloke, it's a shame he isn't at the club now under Poch, his career may be very different. Good luck to him.

Interesting video - seems like a decent bloke. Of all the prospects that we've had over the past decade or so, he is the one that I've often thought back to. I suppose it was probably as much the hype as anything else. I'm glad that he has had the opportunity to give his side of the story and I hope that he can do a good job at Toulouse and live up to a bit of his early promise.

Get on he phone Mauricio.
if he can't do it for us now on the pitch
he could do it in the dressing room.
Shades of Dele, Edwards , Harry Kane
and all those other youngsters
faced with decisions in their careers.
No one story can show the path to everyone
but enough here to re-motivate
and correct the decisions of quite a few.
Inspiring and emotional.

Haven't watched that vid yet but I feel like the narrative around Bostock when he was with us wasn't really that he had a poor attitude - certainly not comparable to what we hear about Edwards now. In fact, I remember a lot of 'he's a good Christian boy' 'he's a hard worker' etc.

Nice to see him having a solid pro career.

Comes across as a good bloke.

Goes to show how important those early decisions are in a young players career are.

Do you take the big opportunities that come your way or do you resist and run the risk of them never presenting themselves again.

His father and his agent should have advised him to stay at palace. Only 16 years old. I suspect those 2 were chasing the money and bostock just wanted to play football.

Every piece of me just wants to blame Redknapp for Bostock's failure at spurs - we had a lot of young raw talent those days that Redknapp didn’t help nurture like Boateng, O’Hara, Taraabt, Bale, Bostock, Do Santos, Dervite, Rose etc

But the main problem was our league position - we were deep in relegation, it was all hands on deck and bringing through the youth was Spurs as a club absolute last priority at that stage.

I think a lot of the players were promised the world by Ramos, but when Redknapp came in they were surplus to requirements due to our dreadful situation and they kind of got Lost in their development, sent on loan and had a dive in confidence and never recovered.

As someone said, it was just really bad timing to be a young player at spurs and I wish the lad the best of luck for the rest of he’s career and hopefully he gets a chance to play against Spurs one day
