As far as I'm aware he doesn't use any of his personal finances to help spurs (if he even could now with ffp)

So I wouldnt agree with there being some serious money behind spurs - just a rich man with shares in the club

He's the majority share holder so he's more than just a rich man with shares in the club. But he didnt use personal finances before and certainly wont now with FFP.

Anyway, speaking of the man on a boat, below the actual forbes blurb on him, they mentioned he is set to take delivery of a brand new yacht with an indoor paddle tennis court!

How's he more than a man with shares? He just has the majority of them

I was under the impression that he doesn't make any decisions or pump any money in to the club so his personal wealth is largely irrelevant to the club (unless he had a massive downturn and needed to sell up perhaps)

The worst thing that could happen to this club over the next few years, is JL kicking the bucket.
It gives the banks confidence that he could in theory write a cheque and clear the loan at any point if the new stadium ran into financial trouble.
We don't want to spook the banks for any reason for the next 5 years or so,

So yes he's rich. But Arsenal have a majority shareholder richer than him and a minority one not that far off. Abramovich is substantially richer than him. Utd are the richest club in the world. City are run by the UAE government.

So even if he was dipping in his pockets, the only club owner he's actually personally richer than in the top 6 of the Premier League is Henry at Liverpool.

So a bit like Spurs really - vastly improved performance but still lots of work to do to overhaul the mega rich.

Joe if you want to donate £240 million towards the stadium for Christmas, be nice :)

He put in £50m a couple of summers ago to help fund the stadium. Tavistok are also helping fund the stadium (levy said so in his letter to khan).
