Like Sissoko and Davies? I'm pretty sure the % of players that turn out to be good signings is probably about the same for players bought overseas as it is from within the league.

Davies is a good backup for Rose, dont know why he's used as an example. As for Sissoko, were you obvlivious to the fact I said 'our own division' ?

And there it is! Knew it wouldn't be long before you suggested Defoe.
£80k per week for a reserve striker who probably wouldn't want to sit on the bench at this stage of his career.
Oh & do you know how many goals he scored for us in his last 29 league appearances?

Who would you want coming on for Kane... Defoe or Janssen ?

You said "looking" in our division and Sissoko's last league game (and 4 seasons) were in our division. Davies isn't a good backup for Rose IMO, due to the fact that we can't play 3-4-3 if Rose is Injured and he doesn't even suit our style of play in 4-2-3-1.

I disagree there. We have to change our system when Rose gets injured and even with the change, his style doesn't suit us and has a negative affect. You would obvious expect a drop in quality when a "back up" plays but it's more than just that.

We change our system frequently over the course of the season from
4231 to a 3521; obviously he's a different player and rose is arguably lest left wing back in the country but name me a better back up left back defender in the division?

We haven't played 3-4-3 since Rose was injured after looking very good for several games playing it and after Davies looked poor playing it in a cup game (before Rose's injury)

Luke Shaw, Clichy/Kolorov, Targett even Pedro looks more suited to Chelsea's system in LWB than Davies is in ours. All just my opinion of corse.

I said looking in our division, we bought Sissoko from a different division. It really is that simple. But you keep plugging away and reply to words I have not said.

i think that whether we play 3 at back with two wing backs or just a straight flat back 4, Rose can adapt to either system.

Ben Davies is more suited to the 3 at the back where he has Vertongen as extra protection

Apparently something with his medical made us end our interest in him. Think Trix or Jjetset mentioned it a while back

I may be completely wrong, but my understanding was that (in January) Fulham wanted Dembele loaned back to them until the end of the season, whereas we wanted the player there and then. So we refused, and Fulham let him walk on a free at the end of the season and ended up at Celtic.

Like I said, I can't remember if it was trix or JJetset but they mentioned there was more to it than the loan and that we backed out due to something that had come to our knowledge. I wish I could find the post but I can't even remember which thread it was in.

Yes it was rhetoric. Nothing punctured at my end thanks, I was more worried about you as it made you look....well, a bit daft.
So, pointing out the numerous holes in your asinine argument by naming the players didn't make you look gormless, then?

We'll just have to agree to disagree ;-)

I thought I'd read that Fulham and Spurs had agreed the sale and loan-back arrangement, but it was Dembele who wouldn't play along with the deal?

The obvious remedy for Janssen is, he needs a goal from open play.... just simple as that.

He's alround game is good and certainly good enough for the epl

Yes, you did say them, specifically "our division". He was in a premier league team and is in fact an international player who played in the final of the Euros. Which bit of that are you having trouble with? Having said that, your proposals about Deeney and Snodgrass suggest that you are having trouble with a number of things, not least that we aren't playing in the 1990s.
