Whilst Son and Alli sparkled, the analysts, the media also focused on Vincent Janssen, criticising or (in some cases) deriding the striker for missing a good chance in front of goal.

A very good - very fair assessment. I am a fan of Vince Janssen's play. A season of social adjustment and integrating into the squad. I see him being a very very useful player next year.

Even the kid George Nkudu (sorry if I have butchered that) and Kevin Wimmer - I think they will have much bigger roles to play. Remember that period last season when Vertoghen was out and Wimmer seamlessly stepped in.

Good well written and thoughtful article, some obvious points made of course, but sometimes and easily digested read is no bad thing.

In brief, Janssen in not new the Soldado, and will thrive if given time and support.

He's got every chance of becoming a very good player. Not sure he'll win world player of the year but given time I think he can do a job for us. Although he's not scoring I think his play is getting better.

Like the boy.
Honest hardworking and still young and not quite Prem ready.
But time and pitch minutes cures many things.
Ultimately I don't think he will be good enough
but better players might not be affordable
or willing to play second fiddle to Harry and Son.

Hoping his 'starry starry night' comes soon.
Though that ended badly I'm afraid.
