Wonder why this has leaked. Villa trying to start an auction? Or making a fee in the £20-25m mark more palatable to the fans?

Hopefully we don’t go much above this
I believe Herc is on record saying we believe up to around 25 will seal the deal. If true we have only bid 15 then it's possibly Levy doing a Levy and seeing what happens. Herc also said if they agreed the fee would go undisclosed. If SSN have it I imagine most likely the fee amount was being leaked for negotiations, hopeful bidding, or frustration.

Yep, in this instance we hold the cards.

We know Villa are up to their eyeballs in debt and have to sell best players. They can want 30m all they like but there's no chance that Levy, of all people, would come in and just offer their asking price. No way.

We'll likely agree at something around 20m I expect.

16:07 BREAKING NEWS

Aston Villa have rejected Tottenham's 15m offer for Jack Grealish.

Aston Villa chairman Tony Xia had this to say:
"this is a disgusting offer from that bald **** Daniel Levy"

More follows...

BBCWM understands there have been no bids made for Villa midfielder Jack Grealish. Some reports suggested Spurs had made an offer of £15m but that appears to be wide of the mark at this stage. #avfc

He has done NOTHING of note in English football, and scored goals and gotten assists in a league that made Janssen (amongst others) look a world beater. Check the other scorers and assist leaders in Holland...It's a veritable who's who of players you've hardly ever heard of...if at all.

Sorry, but there are many posters like you who seem to put some sort of positive bias on a player dependant on how young and/or foreign they are.

and Jack Grealish has done anything of note :ROFLMAO:? Hes been playing in the championship for 2 seasons and you want to discredit a 19 year old making his debut season and performing levels above his peers because its Holland?

What a nonsense statement that last bit is, maybe a players actual talent draws the acclaim.

I dont even know why im replying, your arguing about a lad you've never even watched play :banghead:

I thought Chelsea were in for him and happy to pay £30m? Or am I mistaken?

From villa talk:

Good old Daniel Levy. If we asked to buy Josh Onomah he'd probably ask for £80m.

Well, Levy can pay his clubs Tax bill, though #justsaying
