Villa promoted = no chance.
Villa stay in Championship = good chance.

Would he still be a player of interest to us come the end of the season though? He'll be nearly 24 and would have played Championship football for two seasons.
In my opinion he won't progress much this season, not as much as he could have with us at least - he needed to make that step up this season to fulfil a lot of his potential.
Not sure Jack Grealish in a years time will be a particularly attractive option for us, especially if he signs a new contract. Can only imagine any buy out clause will be £30m+
#Me too.I hope so!
I'm sure we will, but if they keep developing - particularly Sessegnon - then the money clubs will blow us out of the water. I think we should have gone all in for RS last summer.Grealish & Sessegnon's contracts both expire in 2020. I bet our boardroom boys are keeping a real close eye on what happens next with those two

That's the line Villa are spinning, "well they obviously weren't that serious Jack as if they were they'd have come in for you sooner, clearly you can't trust them so you'd be better off signing this nice shiney new contract with us".Bit unfortunate the way this panned out....
Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce says Tottenham would have signed English midfielder Jack Grealish this summer had they come in for the 22-year-old earlier. (Talksport)
Doesn't it seem like that was the case though? Levy was trying to get the better deal rather than actually wanting the player really really bad and just getting it done. That's the line Villa are spinning, "well they obviously weren't that serious Jack as if they were they'd have come in for you sooner, clearly you can't trust them so you'd be better off signing this nice shiney new contract with us".
That's what they are trying to convince him of, there's absolutely no certainty that was the case though, they wanted a fee it was met they changed it, trusting people to keep their word like Levy does can sometimes catch you out.Doesn't it seem like that was the case though? They had a fee under previous ownership though. That obviously wasn't what the new owners were going to accept. That's what they are trying to convince him of, there's absolutely no certainty that was the case though, they wanted a fee it was met they changed it, trusting people to keep their word like Levy does can sometimes catch you out.
The club gave their word to Grealish and the club went back on it's word, the new owners knew the club had given it's word to Grealish and went back on it, they didn't discuss it with him and come to an agreement they just failed to keep the club's promise, if Levy is guilty of anything it's thinking the best of people and judging them by his own standards. They had a fee under previous ownership though. Didn’t see game- what was the body language saying?Just a reminder, Brentford game about to start. Body language people. Body language.
