Woohoo!! Quality youngster, him & the Sessegnon twins would be very good signings!

Was about to say it's strange that we've had little to no ITK on this one if indeed it is close, and then in pops JJ!

Clarke’s right-footed and Session is left? Or did you mean the other Sess?

I just meant as a young attacking target, as I don’t believe sessegnon will play left back. Is there room for both of them?

Probably only if we move on someone like Lamela, but who will take him with his injuries.

Also wouldn’t be surprised if he’s told friends and families he’s about to move and they’ve all gone and lumped on it. I work for a bookmakers and you see it all the time when it becomes clear someone has favourable info and markets have to be adjusted accordingly to protect themselves. I would imagine it’s just quite a few people have staked on it in anticipation and now Betfair are protecting themselves from losing too much money. Just the way it works.

Makes you wonder if there are people at WhatsApp secretly keeping an eye on football user groups

Not sure how illegal that is btw; probably depends on the country you're in

WhatsApp is all encrypted so I don't think there's much of that. There was a big thing about WhatsApp refusing to give over chat history about terror suspects a while ago.

About Betfair, it is absolutely true that the whole betting market basically copies them now. If you go on the exchange and have enough on a horse that it shortens significantly then every bookie will cut their price.

However, that's the exchange and it would be the sports book which price up transfer markets etc. They have no more clout than any other bookie, although it's certainly true that they'll likely have better sources than the average guy

was watching a few vids of this lad, reminds me of early bale beating his man and whipping balls in hope. still raw but loads of potential imo.

Transfermarkt says he's 5'9" but in all the videos he looks like one of the tallest players on the pitch. Is that wrong or is everyone short in the Championship? Seems to have that Bale-like build which is very interesting in a pacey winger.

considering his age he has probably grown since that measurement was taken

All for a bit of Yorkshire at the club.

Went to a school trip to York once. Lived with a 2000 year old man named Robert and his wife. And their tiny dog. First thing the dog did when we sat down in their sofa was to lie down on his back, spread his legs and reveal the biggest dog boner I have ever seen. If it was to assert dominance, it certainly worked.

Struggled a bit with the accent though. The lady asked us if we'd seen many "plaaaays" in the city centre. "Like theatre..?" we asked. Turns out she meant police. Nice lady though. She gave us juice.

Which is why I'm very positive to the idea of signing Jack Clarke.

That's literally just as legitimate a reason to want a player signed as half of this forum currently moaning about not stumping up an extra 20m for someone they've never seen outside of a youtube clip.

I want us to sign Sessegnon because it's a fun word to say. However my top target is Azpilicueta from Chelsea because i always say it in an accidentally slightly racist Mexican accent which amuses me a lot. I would like him to sign so i can do that more often.

I’m sure if we sign Clarke he will get bits and pieces of time to impress rather than regular appearances. We do seem to be a little short on young attacking players. Last season when Kane was out, lamela out, Son away and we were searching for a game changer we had a bench full of defensive midfielders and no potential game changers. I’m all for this but would think we had higher priorities right now.

He has to develop mentally - he looked fragile end of season for Leeds. In last couple of games, he was really poor after Leeds fans started moaning at his bad touches. More they moaned & groaned, more it affected him and more bad he became.

Manager like Poch will be the best thing to happen to him. He is a raw talent.I dont see him pushing first XI or subs positions in PL. He could only get occasional league/FA cup games in first year like Foyth. I dont think we can expect him more in first season.

We undoubtedly do have higher priorities right now but if this one gets over the line first, it doesn't mean we've worked harder on it than anything else. I bet Levy's little legs are going like the clappers on all sorts of stuff.

Its funny as I randomly caught a Leeds game on TV back in the winter and Clarke was an instant game changer and caught my eye immediately when he came off the bench. He looked raw, but absolutely bundles of potential and so direct. I was like who the hell is this kid. I can't remember the last time I saw a game where a kid made such an instant impression on me. It's pretty much the only time I've seen him so I can't say I'm an expert, but it's quite weird how this happened, and then 6 months later it looks like Spurs are signing him.
