Its funny as I randomly caught a Leeds game on TV back in the winter and Clarke was an instant game changer and caught my eye immediately when he came off the bench. He looked raw, but absolutely bundles of potential and so direct. I was like who the hell is this kid. I can't remember the last time I saw a game where a kid made such an instant impression on me. It's pretty much the only time I've seen him so I can't say I'm an expert, but it's quite weird how this happened, and then 6 months later it looks like Spurs are signing him.

He had 3-4 games like that last year where he really caught my eye. Away against Villa & Nottingham Forest and there was a home game where he started and got the MOTM.

He doesn't mind running at people and taking them on. For me that's great because defenders hate nothing more than someone running at them and we are very limited in this department, especially out in wide areas.

Clarke and Sessegnon would add so much natural talent and width to our ranks which is great for Pochettino's options to mix it up as and when required.

Saw Clarke a few times, he's very confident on the ball. Almost every time he gets it, he looks to stand his full back up and take him on, something which only Lucas Moura really does in our squad. For the price touted, it's a low risk, potentially high reward signing. Saying that, I think it's too soon to expect him to come in and set the world on fire, it's a long term signing.

He has to develop mentally - he looked fragile end of season for Leeds. In last couple of games, he was really poor after Leeds fans started moaning at his bad touches. More they moaned & groaned, more it affected him and more bad he became.

Manager like Poch will be the best thing to happen to him. He is a raw talent.I dont see him pushing first XI or subs positions in PL. He could only get occasional league/FA cup games in first year like Foyth. I dont think we can expect him more in first season.

Maybe he was effected by that feinting situation.

I’m 100% convinced JJ saying it’s very possible means it’s done and I for one am bloody excited

Going by his Twitter likes he looks a massive Liverpool supporter. Personally don’t care but was hoping for some personal information and just saw Champions League celebrations... no Tottenham hate though

Between Clarke & Daniel James, I wanted Daniel James because he has been consistent and got the better of the fullbacks with his pace. Clarke can clock similar pace but my worry with him is concentration in passing & consistency on the ball. If Clarke brings his A-game, IMO he has the better end product than James in the final third. So, its really up to Poch's skill to groom talents of Clarke.

If we do sign Clarke, it would be interesting to see how both their careers pan out in parallel.

Very possible ?

I’m very happy to read this, he’s a superb talent.

I’m sure if we sign Clarke he will get bits and pieces of time to impress rather than regular appearances. We do seem to be a little short on young attacking players. Last season when Kane was out, lamela out, Son away and we were searching for a game changer we had a bench full of defensive midfielders and no potential game changers. I’m all for this but would think we had higher priorities right now.

I agree that we need players for now, which I think Lo Celso for instance represents, but I highly doubt Clarke signing would prohibit other transfers, and his ceiling from what I’ve seen is basically Chris Waddle/ Ginola/ Bale. He’s not just talented, he’s an old fashioned entertainer.

James is further along in his development, as you’d expect at three years older, but in my opinion this kid is going to have it all of his head stays screwed on.

I'm quite positive on this one. Bielsa - Pochettino link. Maybe a loan back. Looking at all of these 'hype' videos of him. He's got talent, good dribbles, crosses. Prospect

Can't say I'm familiar with the kid but from what others are saying about him I'm all for it. This is the sort of signing we are famous for. Let's get it done and get the 'bigger names' in also.

He is a full 3 years younger to be fair.

I know that:

1) He's a Spurs fan in disguise and
2) He's a MONUMENTAL knob head

but Harry Hotspur, Bell-end extraordinaire, thinks it's "done" because the bookies have closed bets on him joining us.

I hope if we sign Sess and Clarke we don't loan them out. Keep them as cover/competition for Son and Moura.

Glad to hear we’re going back to our old MO of signing good youngsters. Should help with the depth issues.

Haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere.

Calling bullshit on this.

Everyone knows Neil lives in Colorado, not Leeds

Yeah. I dont believe this. It’s a bit early for our self imposed transfer ban to end. Still have another 6 weeks, at least.
