Is set-piece specialist Eriksen Tottenham Hotspur’s new Bale?

No he's not the new Bale - he is the same ol' Eriksen. Why the heck to journos always have to compare players even when they don't play the same positions
May as well ask if Lloris is the new Bale

Not in the same league as Bale! Cracking player but goes missing for large parts of the game, just like to see him impose himself a bit more throughout the game.

I guess that his late goals have won as as many points as Bales late ones? Agreed though a totally different talent, and one that we simply must keep when the bigger fish come swimming around for him.

Completely different players Imagine if we had eriksen, bale and Kane that would be pretty amazing.

Don't forget Modric and a fit King (he would be 34 but still a world calss CB if he'd remained fit)

Reckon from current and former players playing today and Ledley if he was fit I would pick this 11

Lloris, Walker, Davies, King, Vertonghen, Carrick, Modric, Chadli?, Eriksen, Bale and Kane.

Title winning team?

He's fit! Mentally alert during the latter stages of the game. Kane knew this, and loosed a ball to willing runner right on 90 minutes. Smashing player.

mmm... so did Bale IIRC (though I don't know if that's the case now that he's with Madrid).

If he continues to improve he can probably win us as many games as Bale did. But he is a completely different type of player so in that respect no comparison is possible.
