Nice interview with Ossie (well, I liked it) from World Soccer Talk. Discusses everything from the current WC (doesn't like Urugauy) to the impact of the Falklands War on him and Ricky, and playing with the maestro that was Glenn Hoddle - anyone not old enough to see GH play in the flesh and wondering what us fossils are on about, see what a technically gifted non-British player thought of him from the days were multiple leg breaks were acceptable on anyone being too flash. Also, a nice video of Ossie and Ricky coming to Spurs, and the visionary Keith Burkinshaw - £750,000 for Ossie and Ricky, BARGAIN (in best South Walian voice)

"OA: I can assure you that today, there is no one Englishman near him with the level of ability that Glenn had. No one. In fact, after him, maybe one or two footballers may have come close to him in terms of this kind of ability. One was Paul Gascoigne. And the other was Paul Scholes. No one else."

I love the article and admire the man That said it should include Glenn and Ricky in the statement

I have supported Spurs since the 60's and apart from the double winning team the time Ossie et al was here was the best time where is was excited about every game and football at its best. Perhaps me just being nostalgic.

There those that think Redknapp's team were exciting but they didnt hold a candle to the team with Ossie Glenn and Ricky and the rest in it

Hope one day the tree of them, Ossie, Ricky and Hoddle come back to our Academy and impart their different skills to the kids.

My first year as a junior mini-Yiddo was the year we were relegated...so I pretty much grew up watching GHodd. And I agree - I think part of my attitude on this forum is determined by the fact that there seems to be a constant groundswell of negativity and constant swiping at every person at the club and every aspect of the club by one poster or another, but all I can remember when I was younger was being excited. I enjoyed being a fan, I enjoyed it when I got to watch a game and I always felt like I should be supporting. I appreciate that we have been through something of an eclipse, but I just don't get the almost/constant hostile attitude of some supporters.

Would be interesting - don't know how we would get two ex-managers involved without the current Number One feeling the cramp, though :)

I enjoyed it. It was interesting. The last half hour or so was all about the Falklands war stuff with Ardiles and Villa.
