The harsh reality is that even a new signing - who is PL- ready - will take a month to adjust and fit in with Poch's tactics.

So, there is not much we can do but try our best to weather the storm. The squad need strengthening - but that was true before Dele's (and Kane's and Sissoko's) injury, and it will be true after those players return.

I don't think this really changes anything in terms of this window. If we can find a good long-term fit, we will, otherwise we will scrape by with whatever players Poch can find lying around the training grounds.

the worst thing about all these injuries is that it gives less chance to give rest to players who need it badly with games coming thick and fast, e.g eriksen & winks

But we need bodies who can stand up and run a bit.

Losing your three main threats for over a month at the same time is absolutely brutal. Can't recall a injury crisis like this for some time. Winks, god bless him, is busting a gut to try and make himself more of a threat to try and compensate. Gonna need a couple of the others to do the same over the next few weeks. If Lucas and Lamela don't hit some kind of form we're in serious, serious trouble.

The other issue here is that being down to the bare bones, we may find that Winks and co who are now filling in only having recently come back from injuries themselves may again become injured by having to play every game. Meaning even when we get players back, we are still lacking from the bench.

Someone on here the other day mentioned Jay Rodriguez. Ok, not glamorous, not a marquee signing we all want.. but could hit the ground running in terms of premier league experience, and understanding what Poch wants to see.

The guy who suggested it got a lot of “hardly exciting is it” type answers. To be honest, I can see the benefit though. Can also play a few positions.

We knew this was going to happen, albeit maybe not this badly, with so many players away at the World Cup and then having no rest or preseason. It just causes injury.

We won’t buy anyone either and it will help to undo all our good work this season.

Think it's gonna have to be the back three with Dier in front for the forseeable future as well. Know it's negative but shutting out teams and trying to nick one looks like our best bet going forward until we have players back.

And then when they get injured too we'll blame rotten luck rather than piss-poor squad management over a few years now.

We will persevere.

Dier is back. Sissoko is close - apparently. That allows rotation - with Skipp also in the mix - at CM.

Lucas is close - Son will be back after a couple more league matches.

We probably can't go 100% against Palace in FA Cup - we'll need a slower pace, and probably Skipp and Foyth, and maybe even GKN starting.

I hope we do bring in some bodies - but I hope they are long-term targets not simply short-term fixes - because the problem will fix itself by the time those players are really able to contribute.

Still not convinced by our medical team. Dele 3rd hamstring injury since the world cup.... small things like not helping Kane off the field against united. How many 'small injurys' do we have that end up being a month? How can wanyama still be out after about 2 yrs of rehab..Is it the demands of Pochs high intensity in training?? starting to become to many adding up to call it unlucky for me.
