I have came to my conclusions from 18 years of watching how ENIC operate, I'm sure you'll understand it's equally boring responding to your constant defense of them, there is little factual in your post above, it's all what you believe, your entitled to your opinion, I don't share it and am not going to keep going around in circles with you, your questions largely have already be answered in my previous 'boring' posts as well as other many other examples of the buy low sell high mentality, feel free to bore yourself, I won't bother doing the same...

until the devolvement started we used to spend money. I posted it somewhere that we were the 3rd highest spenders from 2002-2012. what you don't understand is when they took us over if someone told you that in 10 years you would see us reach the QF of the CL you would of had them committed.

over the last 7 years the stadium has been taking shape, we played in a stadium that wasn't taking the money required to even consider competing with any of the other top 6, and have had 1 decent season showing profits followed by chaos.

how the hell do you expect us to attract players that can earn double wages at all the other teams. how can you expect us to win 1 of 4 possible trophies when you have teams that can buy success built of super rich owners or from the teams that have a history of being at the top for 40 years.

you obviously are so desperate for us to win a trophy, yet if we spent 200m tomorrow it doesn't guarantee anything. what we have done since ENIC took over is something not many would believe would happen.

this was posted earlier elsewhere and people need to understand it

Spurs are owned (85%) by ENIC.
ENIC are owned by Joe Lewis (via Tavistock group) and Daniel Levy, 70/30 respectively.
Tavistock group have a board which consists of several directors and board members. Every significant penny invested by Tavistock in any direction will be subject to a vote by that board.

It’s not as simple as uncle Joe giving us a cash injection. He doesn’t own us, a seoerate legal person called the Tavistock group effectively does (well they own ENIC), and just because he is the major shareholder, doesn’t mean he can say ‘give Spurs £150m’ without board approval, the board is there to act in the best interests of the company with the ultimate aim of growth, and Tavistock group has many investments to think about beyond Spurs. Think of it this way, the PM couldn’t force through her Brexit deal without parliament approval, the Tavistock board is basically our parliament.

Joe could just go all benefactor on us and give us £200m to spend, but after that had the shit taxed out of it we’d be left with half.

We don’t have a billionaire owner. We are part of an investment portfolio and every act we take is subject to intense internal scrutiny.

you can't prove that's how we operate though. you obviously believe too much in what the media put out there.

if that was the case we wouldn't of paid what Newcastle wanted for Sissoko, or what we paid for Janssen, or Sanchez. even Foyth hadn't played hardly any 1st team football at top level.

yet you expect us to drop the value of ours, but pay over the top. thank god your not involved in our financials in your desperation for a trophy

in the time ENIC took over we have played in 4 finals and lost 4 semi's, have qualified for 4 CL, would of been 5 if Chelsea hadn't fluked it

we have the state of the art training facilities, and hopefully soon to be playing in a 62,062 stadium which is what has caused us to have a debt

if you can't see the improvement considering bar last season we have been restricted with a 36k stadium, and had to compete with 5 teams a lot richer than us. then I'm sorry your either a WUM or just hate ENIC and refuse to give them any credit. even @coys200 is more positive than you

edit: apologies to all for going off topic

Not sure what you want Lighty as you persist, is it that important that I agree with you or you just want to be right? Look, I'm as excited as the next person about the new stadium, and sure we've progressed with them, but my main beef with ENIC is quite simple, at least 4 or 5 times since they'e been here we have been in a great position to win trophies, we were just crying out for 1 or 2 players, we didn't sign them and sure enough we ended trophyless, sure there's no guarantees but all about giving ourselves the best chance, to dare is to do. They don't want take that risk, they are happy with CL qualification, nothing is going to change with the stadium, just look at our neighbors, they are from the same mold. Back on topic we need investment now like we did in the summer, nothing has changed.

it's the continuous "want to sell big buy low", but no examples of players that are worth buying for more than we offer and that would improve us, no proof provided that we only sell over the price, the continuous "when we move in Levy won't change", just because we haven't spent silly and yet we have improved not spending silly.

our transfer haven't cost us the last 3 semi's in the FA Cup. it did cost us our top 4 spot when Chelsea won the CL, but not many chairman will spend a fortune knowing their manager won't be there the following season. we are not rich enough to compete with the big boys just yet and will find it very hard to catch United and City, but hopefully the stadium will bring us closer to the other 3. what is called for is patience and hope ENIC change once the stadium finances are settled.

to have permanent digs in everything is very tiring, with me I'm a Spurs fan that would love to see us win trophies, but will support and get behind us whatever division we are in. my blood is blue and white, trophies are just a bonus like the early 80's

edit: top4 is important, we won't fill and pay for the stadium, or get the important sponsors that are needed if we are playing in the Europa, and we won't have players wanting to sign or stay either

You’d almost think that with the number of injuries we’ve had that it’d be reflective of an under invested squad, competing on multiple fronts who are over reliant a some key attackers

No Moura, Kane, Son, Alli - and that’s just up top. This can’t last, well start dropping points consistently soon

From Alli’s reaction, it looked like bad tear.

Hopefully Lucas is back for Chelsea. Dier will come in and SIssoko a further week away.

Fingers crossed that South Korea get knocked out asap!
