Less uproar than when we sold Bale.

If it makes commercial sense for Dele's agent - is that still the bloke who was bankrupted by HMRC? - and he can convince a 20 year old, then it doesn't really matter whether it's the right time for him to move.

Alli is nowhere near ready to be playing for Madrid.

If Bens info were to be true that would be a terrible deal for all involved unless we absolutely rinsed them beyond belief then it MIGHT work out well for us

I wouldn't worry. He said this before the Everton game:

BEN on whether Toby is out for the everton game: OUT

Toby played.

and that we want barklay and isco to replace him

I would hate to lose Alli. But let's be honest- Spurs losing Alli would have less impact than, when we lost Bale. Poch is the key. As long as he stays with us , we will improve & keep improving.

Losing Alli & replacing with Barkley & Isco won't be bad replacements from a team point of view.

But having said that, no way I want to lose him. Also it wont be a good move for him either at 20.

Bale is a different thing. He had a newborn & a family to fall back on when he moved. Alli is still immature & will be a big mistake.

I think Alli is a super prospect, but Real? He wouldn't play, and given our financial security and the negative PR of selling another young star, they'd have to pay an absolute f*ck load to get him.

I don't see it personally, I just don't think it adds up.

I think the players that could most likely be a risk are Eriksen and Lloris.

Eriksen is further down the development path to Alli and now just a really wonderful technical player. I think he'd more easily fit into one of the Spanish giants, albeit probably in a deeper role than he plays for us. I don't need to explain Lloris.

That being said, I think if we get CL again this year and keep Poch, the likelihood of us losing anyone is limited.

I think the real challenge time would be the 2nd season in the new stadium. Right now everything's pointing upward - excitement over a young and bonding team that's getting better and better, most main players were just extended, young head coach is just getting on the short lists of the few big clubs' replacement consideration, and obviously a beautiful stadium just around the corner in no time.

By 2020, if we do things correctly, all the highs we are expecting to hit will be hit. Players will be in their prime and towards the end of the extended contract and hopefully we will get a couple silverware by then and that would be critical in terms of keeping our core players/attracting new ones, including a good new coach down the line. Three years is an eternity and anything can happen but, I think before 2020 we should be relatively stable. We are just barely young enough and ahead of the schedule.

I would say Kane is the one the big boys will be chasing come the summer, not that I think he will leave
