At this point you have to wonder if the club are telling us the whole truth about Dier. He’s been ill, suffering with virus etc. For a while now but still appears in training pics. Something smells fishy to me.

He's appeared in training pics when the club have said he's fit, and he's been making matchday squads in that time. He hasn't appeared in pics when the club have said he's unavailable, as he hasn't been fit to play. It's pretty simple.

It's like Lamela all over again.

Dier not bad much luck recently, had his appendix out and now has tonsillitis!

Shame as could have had them out at same time and saved him so trouble! ??

There’s a big difference between tonsillectomy (having tonsils out) and tonsillitis a 3 or 4 day illness. Considering this must have started Friday as he was in last Thursday training I’d be surprised if he isn’t available for NLD.

he was supposed to back for Dortmund and then reported as ill, same on Saturday and now tomorrow's game - so over 2 weeks ill?

Dier just maybe needs a break and they are giving him it. To me he has been a big miss but I know many on here don’t rate him. A strong fully fit Dier for the last ten games and Europe would be welcome.

Dier is a leader, we miss him so much when he's not there imo

Missing Alli isn't the reason Burnley bullied us all over the park on Saturday, missing Dier was. If Dier was out there he sorts that shit out
