I like it that you're explaining British terms for our North American members. When I first emigrated from Hong Kong to Canada, I used to reply to people asking what sport I play spontaneously saying football and hockey and people were laughing like hell as I stand only 5 foot 3.
The term "public school" used to confuse me before I went to one. I thought the schools I went to were public schools i.e. used by the public. It was only after I went that I learned why they're called that.

It’s interesting when people say we have a thin squad. Over Xmas we had to use our 6th choice CB which was Davies. A player with 43 international caps and got to a euro semi final. Liverpool and city would be using a kid as 6th choice. Tomorrow we may have to use Vertoghen as 3rd LB a player with 100 caps. City can’t even muster a 2nd choice LB and Liverpool would be using probably Milner.

Well I think the majority is happy with our defensive options. Still we definitley lack in midfield and in offense. We needed to play a 18 year old rookie in CM because of injury problems who is a good prospect, but surely not anywhere near Top 4 material yet.
And we are lacking of offensive options so much that we could name only one offensive player on the bench against Leicester.

So yeah, in certain areas we lack depth and have a thin squad.
