Always thought he was overrated at the highest level. A good striker but not great. Failed at Barca, won leagues in shitty championships, i.e. France and Italy.

Reckon he will be found out in the prem. Who's with me?

Ibra is a character, decent player, good finisher. Think in a Jose team, he will get goals.

Not me, he's a beast and will show it this season.

Man Utd league favorites IMHO, especially if they get Pogba also

I think he's had his time...he's a bit of a cart horse now...relies on strength and bully tactics. Don't get me wrong he's got good skill and can kick a ball but without any discernible pace, he's not the threat he once was.

The bloke has got a screw loose that's for sure...his ego is going to fill Old Trafford alone.

I just can't see how a team with him, Jose and a £100m Pogba isn't going to hit some massive ego road bumps along the way

It'll end in tears...

He will be bread and butter for premier league defenders. His body will be broken by xmas.

good thing for them to hinder Rashford's development though

I think it'll be the opposite, Zlatan isn't selfish on the pitch, like Totti in that regard.

I think he'll be fine, the defending in this league is average at best.

I doubt that very much. The guy's a beast. I'd probably expect PL defenders to be the ones breaking their bodies on him... Looking forward to seeing him in the league personally. Not enough characters these days.

As a Swedish person I just can't hate Zlatan. He has always been my favorite football player. I had never thought of him as overrated but in recent seasons I feel he has began to go downhill. I watched a Zlatan Ibrahimovic goals compilation from the 2015/16 season and about 70% of goals came from crosses/defending mistakes.

I feel like in the Premier League he will find it much harder to score due to the better quality defenders and goalkeepers in the league. He does have a deadly shot on him, but I think he will find it really hard to get space for a shot or run in behind. I think he may score a couple goals for United, but as hard as it is to say for me as an Ibra fan, I think he will find it hard to adjust to the EPL and after a few months move to the bench behind Rashford...

He will be operating in a Mourinho team that will use him as the attacking focal point. And the goals you describe come from Mourinho's tactics. Suffocating the opponent in to mistakes and finding their main striker with a quick ball or a cross.... Drogba and Costa thrived of this as will Zlatan.

Chelsea for me unfortunately, Kante and Batshuayi already in, Zouma to come back, still trying for Morata and wouldn't be surprised if they buy more, that and they are the only one of the big teams with no European football to distract them makes them favourites IMO.

Soon to be 35 years old, past his prime moving from a team with zero competition in the league to one of the most competitive leagues in the world. I'm with @Hoops on this one, I think he'll struggle, said that to my mates a while back too.

Once you realise that most (if not all) of his media comments are self-aware parodies of the persona that's been created you start to see the funny side.

5 years ago he would have done well in the prem but age has caught up with him and think he'll finish the season in single figures for goals (unless Rooney hands over pens).

No doubting his ability in his prime though 13 titles in 4 different leagues with 6 different teams... That's a lot of luck over a long period of time with a lot of different teams

I reckon he'll start the season well, maybe 3 in his opening 4, then a couple goals here and there but then the second half of the season he'll fade badly.
