Huh. I was thinking about this driving to work and wondered if he's believing his own hype.

I'm not sure he can stay grounded enough.

game against barnsley should give a good indication. If he works hard and plays well i would say all is good, but if he acts like a prima donna then should be dropped from the 1st team for a few games.

Ian Wright is worried! No, Ian Wright is stirring things up and hoping things go pear shaped for Spurs and Dele.

Nah, I don't buy that - he was wearing a Kane shirt not long ago on the tellybox, and generally he does talk some sense. And I agree with him, I think there is a huge danger in Alli ending up swept up in the hype.

You can guarantee, if we accepted a bid from Madrid or PSG for him, the wages they'd offer would be phenomenal, basically confirming his status. Fine in the eyes of the fans but if he starts thinking he's the finished article simply because everyone worships him and his bank account gains a few extra commas and starts paying more attention to his agent than his coaches, he risks not reaching that potential.

I don't envy talented young players in today's climate at all, it can't be easy both on and off the pitch. At least if you're nearer the average you can enjoy the fortunes without so much pressure of expectation and the gaze of the media.

Surprisingly of all the ex arsenal pundits I mind him the least.

I think Christian Eriksen is a far more important player to the team - and more of a team player .

For me , if a big foreign club comes in with an absurd offer I would not be that sad to see Deli Ali go .

Obviously not a popular view here, but the hype around Dele is so intense at the mo...(Messi wants him at Barca for example) that there looks to be 100 mill plus in his transfer . If we bought well with that....

An incoming superstar would expect big wages true , but the way round that is surely to give him an inflated signing on fee to act as an upfront wage top-up .

Have to say, so do I. It seems to me his attention doesn't seem to be fully focused on football at present & the idea of a super agent getting involved suggests there may be troubling times ahead.
