hes good. You say your not just basing it on todays game. Well be that as it may you then go on to say he was the same in another 2 matches. So these days 3 bad matches is enough to classify a quality young footballer as shit is it? Jesus i hate to think what your opinion on Berbatov is if your judging by those three games...

Berbatov has to score a hat-trick every game to be a good player

Overrated by whom exactly?

Sounds to me like some are expecting too much from a very young player..

Can't run.

Can't Tackle(and bottles out of them).

Poor Workrate.

Can't even turn.

Strolls around the pitch like he's a footballing God.

Passing ability is overrated. I've noticed that his passing range range is very limited. All he can do are long distance passes to the wing or chipped balls over the defence. You very rarely see him play eye of a needle passes...or passes forward ALONG THE GROUND......players like carrick and Fabregas do it for fun. Huddlestone doesn't seem to be able to do it.

Im not basing this on tonights match. He was like this against Villa and boro aswell.

:stupid: You are an idiot... Check out the facts of how many games we won or drew last season compared to the games when Zokora played. Huddlestone is the best we have in the DM midfielder role and the only reason he ever has any problems is because of the idiots Martin Jol palys alongside him... Why do people continue to slate the players that are so obviously keeping our club going (ALA Keane - Best player at the club yet idiots call for him to be dropped and that shit striker Defoe to replace him. Keane has shown time and time again that he is worthy of our captaincy and never lets us down..)

Guys get your heads in order and check out the stats. Huddlestone is class but what you have to remember is that he still has so much more to give us... Stick with him and get on his side!!

You mean the idiots who have to work extremely hard around him to put in tackles, win us the ball back and go with midfield runners.
Dont get me wrong The Hudd has huge potential and is only 20 but he has a million miles to go yet. For me at this current time we have nobody good enough to partner JJ

This season has been a like a bad nightmare, mainly because it's a reoccurring one. Last season we got off to a terrible start, Huddlestone played in a lot of the early games, then he was dropped and we started to play much better. The same thing has happened this season and today we put in the best performance so far and yet he wasn't there. Honestly I don't believe it was a coincidence.

The other problem last year was Defoe got too many starts when he didn't really do anything to earn them. Sadly Jol didn't have enough faith or patience with Keane but he came round eventually and this season he seems to be more willing to give Keane the time to find form, which paid off at Anfield

The Hudd is still very young. His range of passing is there and he has a powerful accurate shot in him. Give him time to adapt, he will make it. Robbo on the other hand...

Don't worry guys, once we've sold the Hudd to Blackburn, Berbs to Manure, Defoe to Villa, Zakora to anyone in France, Robbo to Everton, Lee to anyone in Holland and Martin goes back to Ajax, we can reconcile ourselves that the moaning bastards have had their way, Mark Hughes will be in charge and David Dunn will be our captain.

Do any of you remember Glen Hoddle's first season at Spurs?
Nuff said.

Common sense from outside. Tugay's still a great player, even if he's close to qualifying for his free bus pass and free dental treatment. Proof that you don't need pace, just vision.

Whether it be Huddleston, Jenas or any other, isnt a case that supporters for what ever reason, put them or build them up in their minds about their abilities and what they are going to bring to a team, but when they (these players) dont replicate these expectations, the supporters are quick to rubbish them, blaming the players for their (the supporters) own misjudgement?

I am not talking about taking a bloody corner Nidgeous, I am talking about 'open' play, that's what a creative (and read this next word) footballer does.

He conjures. He changes games. He does things with a football that are unpredictable to the opposition.

Look at this, great example.

so u cant be creative from a set piece?

i know a few people who wont agree with that statement.

one young welsh boy for a start

Missed this thread first time round. What a load of bull. Huddlestone is still developing but shows loads of potential and has the ability to make it appear that he has time, even in tight space in midfield, and hits fantastic passes already. Not sure our forwards are quite on the same wavelength yet, but they'll get it, and he'll learn to spot when they are ready for his passes. The kid will be a star if he keeps fit and focussed. His game is probably even more suited to International matches - I hope the next England manager is braver than those that missed out on Currie, Hoddle and Le Tissier and gives him the chance to step up. Both Spurs and England need midfield creativity - we've had enough of hard work and graft achieving mediocrity.
