1. Dier was absolutely great.
2. Davies is bonferrific.
3. I kind of like how Sanchez clearly isn't allowed to pass forward, but has to give it to the Belgians. Get the feeling that Poch has told him to get better at passing before he's allowed to do anything else, and he's sticking to it.
4. Winks is getting back to his usual level.
5. Liked Walker-Peters getting some minutes, should have happened 10 minutes sooner though.
6. Good for Sissoko to open his account.
7. Fucking international break.

I noticed this too. However, there was one point in the second half when Huddersfield pressed Toby and Verts while Sanchez had the ball in the centre. Winks dropped back to receive the forward pass straight from Sanchez, so whilst I agree he doesn't pass forward much yet, he does when necessary.

Think mourinho said he had targeted sanchez in europa final by letting him have the ball. The game against United will be a true test

Have to say Dier was a beast today. He has had his critics this season for looking ponderous and slow and not really being at it (me included), but he's racked up a few more old Dier performances and today he played by example and was a rock in the middle of the park,

I said last week that I think Davies is turning out to be better than Rose and his performances keep reaffirming that to me, Rose is going to have a serious job getting back in this side.

I think the addition of Sanchez has made a huge difference to the way we defend, and in turn the way our wing backs attack. I think on occasions we do miss Rose, who is quicker and in my opinion covers better when we do not have the ball or lose it in attack.

That all said Davies has played outstanding football and his pass to Sissoko was as good as Eriksen or Dele could have made. Davies has (with Poch's help i guess) improved his game beyond recognition. If it turns out come Summer that Rose wants out i have no great fear that Davies can carry that side of the defence.

He is one great addition who will only get better in my opinion.

If he plays. When Vic is back will be interesting to see how Dier is used could well drop into the back three just for that game in order to nullify this happening. Be good for Moanio to plan all week to disrupt Sanchez only for him to not be on the pitch at all. Ajax had no other options and didn't have the passing ability of Jan and Toby next to Sanchez either.

I expect this to happen. Hopefully Sessegnon in to replace Rose:)

Yeah, and? A properly ruthless team of winners would've smashed that Huddersfield team into the middle of next month, we let them off the hook!

Smashing them into next month is exactly what we did - that's what 4-0 is.

And we did it away from home, with several first team players out injured, after a midweek CL away game.

Having caught up with the first page, I'm more aggrieved that the op posted a picture of Yorkshire Tea (from Harrogate, lovely town, North Yorkshire) in association with Huddersfield (dirty pit hole, West Yorkshire.)

Also, no mention of the "How do you like your udders feeled" joke.

I am disappoint.

We've been screaming out for someone a bit more metronomic to play in CM, many of us saying Winks should be starting more games last year and this, especially ones like this, we finally get Winks in there and everyone's "Dier looked back to his best".

Dier did OK, but it's no coincidence that he looked better with a player in there next to him to play more football, see more of the ball and move it quicker, leaving Dier to do much less. Winks completed 87.5% of 64 passes (56), Dier 75% of 45 (34).

The problem's come when Dier's played in CM2's with Dembele or Wanyama and he's forced to try and play more, slowing everything up and pulling him up the pitch which he doesn't recover so well from.

Give him a simpler remit and he'll look better.
