Signed as cover only to become the first name on the team-sheet..
Wrong

how the club has consistently and inevitably failed to live up to expectations throughout their history.

Wrong

The Kenyan midfielder was originally sought to provide cover for a suspended Mousa Dembele in the early stages of the season

What the actual fuck

Suddenly, the Kenyan has destabilized the norm at Tottenham by providing an extra option in midfield for Pochettino to choose from; and that in itself is beneficial as it provides competition for Dier and Dembele, forcing them to further improve their game, and makes Tottenham a more flexible and dynamic squad.

???
When bought from Southampton at a bargain £11 million, Wanyama was originally intended to provide cover for Dier in case of an unexpected injury

Pretty sure we tried to sign him and others the season before suggesting he or a.n.other were intended to be first choice.

The article is excruciatingly badly written and riddled with inaccuracies and contentious statements.

Waste of my time trying to decode it.
