Sterling is supposedly 5'7, Tripps don't look 3 inches taller here

Just been looking up some bits and pieces about Sakai - very versatile - good with both feet can play either fullback position with aplomb. Good crosser, good acceleration, good defensively, good tackling, positioning, intercepting and good composure. Good pace and physicality.

Poor finisher.

Can see why we'd be interested.

He's a classic hard working player. Good at the WC and would be a decent rotation option for Tripp/Aurier (Given that one of them leaves)

I do remember being impressed with Japan’s right-back at the World Cup.

Good player.

What I like in particular with South Korean and Japanese players, is that they work their socks of and hardly complain and sulks. Does the job they're set to do.

No idea on the veracity of this link but Steve Hitchen's area of expertise is Ligue 1

Would be a good signing, I assume for a smaller price than most. Look in reality if we are to go get ourselves another RB on top of this lad let's say.. AWB, Aaron's or Atal this would work nicely right? 2 different RB options for each different opponent.

Whilst they work hard, they also tend to be pretty neat, technically competent footballers. You’ll very rarely get an old-school hatchet man type in the Japan or South Korea side.
