I have seen enough to see that he is simply not good enough. Such a clumsy player, I think he is just so poor technically that I am quite simply amazed we made such a massive error.

He needs to leave for all concerned asap

I remember some very similar threads about Lamela. Poch gave the guy a chance and he rewarded us with some sterling performances.

Some people have very short memories....

I agree about Lamela how he wasnt given a fair crack by some but MS is a difcerent kettle of fish mate. He really is not uo to the standard we require. You could see Lamela had it in him.

Massive difference between the two

Pros - he never had a Poch pre-season.

Cons - the closest he comes to controlling the ball is when it bobbles up to hit his shin and just coincidentally happens to go in the same direction as he is running.

He'll be gone, I've no doubt.

But I'd be happy to see him stay for another season.

He's just as bad as you all think he is, indeed he really has just one trick; but WHAT a trick. That European finals performance wasn't luck, it was a team that had realised how to use him. If you play him into space in midfield he'll bulldoze through on goal and he's effing good at it.

I don't and never have hated the guy either. People who give up because the fans are on them or because someone else makes a mistake are, like a adebayor, worthy of derision. MS works hard off the ball, is a decent and committed tackler and looks like he listens to instructions. MP doesn't suffer fools and MS was almost always a full part of the 1st team. I'm guessing that he's a good soldier, good team mate and a good influence.

I actually think it is the team who will dictate whether he makes it here by working out how to release him/make space for him.

I don't think he'll get the chance though but I wish him well all the same.

Baffled when (and why) we signed him and what we allegedly are paying for him. Must be producing some amazing stuff in training to get the chances he's had. Doesn't seem to fit in with what we need in any respect which is a huge waste of money and a place in the squad. None of it is his fault though.

Sissoko has been a frustrating player to watch this season. He's had a few games where he looked quality and you could see why we signed him. Sunderland at home and Man C at home comes to mind. And then there are so many games where he's been just awful.

Probably best for all if he moves on. Unless he and Poch works out some sort of miracle during the preseason

I voted no....

I think he is dog poo and should get moved on as he just doesn't fit with the team.

But he has not had a real run of games to settle in and establish himself.

Saying that he is dog poo.

I can't stand him but even I have to admit he singlehandedly won us a couple of games with wonderfully-timed, late-game assists; passes, btw, that not many players could've made.

It's weird because even though he's been a major disappointment, you still get the feeling that in some ways he's capable of doing things no one else can. He's a physical specimen-- the likes of which I've never seen. He reminds me of that one kid you played sports with who was your age but yet was just so much bigger and stronger than you or any of your friends that it was almost unfair. You felt puny and childlike around him; Sissoko's that guy. I mean on a field of top class athletes it just seems like he can blow through them like they're not there. You rarely see a guy like that at this level that's just that much obviously stronger.

Anyway, well aware that football isn't a bodybuilding/weightlifting contest, and that at the end of the day it takes skill and strength, but he's so powerful that one gets the feeling that if he could only develop some skill he'd be unstoppable. As it is, he's just a bull in a china shop.

Skill, touch and Passing are the hardest things to teach.

I'd honestly give him another season, we've nothing to lose.

Um we kinda have seeing as his stock is still relatively high, especially in France. He's not going to get any better and the manager doesn't trust him so what's the point of keeping him around?

Where are people getting this idea from that some club in ligue 1 will stump up anything near enough for us to mitigate our losses?

Our losses are sunk costs at this point, because we wildly, wildly overpaid for him and no other team is likely to make the same mistake. We should just get him out of the club ASAP to free up his wages and his place in the squad.

Agree.

He's a CAM who has been used mostly as RW. He needs to play through the middle, ideally with two wide strikers too spread the play and create the space for him to exploit.

I think he's actually quite a decent CM and a pretty horrific RM/CAM.

That said even at CM he's not that brilliant and the likes of Dier, Dembele, Winks, and Wanyama are all better so I'd sell him on.

I voted no because he really hasn't but having said that it was one of the strangest signings we have ever made. He simply doesn't really have a part to play in the style Poch has so successfully implemented.

We've finished 2nd and 3rd in the last two seasons. We're one of the best squads in the prem. Most of the squad have been teammates for 3+ years. You could barely name a player in England that you'd sub in our starting XI.

So what was "success" for Sissoko? I don't think he's been given a fair go, but at the same time, I don't know why would ever even consider giving him a go. Who was he supposed to displace?

Clearly he falls into the baffling transfer category under Poch. Fazio. Sissoko. Neither ever made any sense.
