“But what trophies has he won?”

Whenever Harry Kane’s name is brought up in the discussion of the best forwards in Premier League history, that’s the inevitable response.

With 184 Premier League goals to his name, and still a full 2022-23 season until he reaches his 30s, is it time to not only think of Kane as one of the greatest goalscorers in Premier League history, but an all-time great in English top flight history?

Even if he wins the World Cup and Premier league this year, rival clubs will never acknowledge his talent. Just because that’s the way rival fans behave in the UK. If we want to be a top club, we have to understand that as fans as well.

Harry will likely overtake Rooney in the PL standings this season.

At 29 let's say he remains injury free through the age of 34 then he will still need to his a high number of goals per season to overtake Shearer.

If he remains playing in the PL at 35 then he should do it.

Being one of the greatest forwards has got sod all to do with winning trophies. Breaking individual records has. Scoring goals has. Only rival fans think it's about trophies (and bias pundits). He's already one of the best forwards ever in the PL and he still has 4-5 years to go.

Trophies are for teams/squads. Records are for individuals.
