Or good month/bad month as we cover the games against Hull, Partizan, Everton, Chelsea, Palace, Besiktas, Swansea, Newcastle and Burnley. Here we go...

Good Week

Harry Kane

Now firmly the number one striker at the club. Allies hard work, some decent build up play and generally pleasing physical attributes with a sharp eye for goal. Scoring headers, tap ins (most of the time) and from outside the box, and improving almost by the minute. And he's one of our own.

Christian Eriksen

After a slow start to the season, Eriksen is bang in form, scoring, creating and generally causing havoc for the opposition. Has been moved to a central position recently, and I think it was a good move as it allows him to effect the game more and make more use of his goal scoring ability. If the likes of Chadli and Lamela can continue to improve then we could really have a dynamic attacking unit.

Ryan Mason

If you exclude Eriksen, is Mason now our first choice central midfielder? Adds some much needed grittiness in the middle of the park as well as having pretty nice passing and ethos.

Jan Vertonghen and Federico Fazio

Looking pretty solid as a centre back partnership, and it's just nice that we have finally settled on one!

Kyle Walker

Back fit, and boy have we missed him. With the system Pochettino wants to play, attacking full backs are vital and I think Erik Lamela will be pleased to have Walker overlapping. Also impressive that after so long out, he has played the full ninety twice out of his three appearances.

Benjamin Stambouli

Has quadrupled his Premier League match time in the last two games. Very gradual introduction.

Alex Pritchard

Continuing his great form for Brentford and latest insights seems to suggest that Mitchell and Poch rate the lad.

Tom Carroll

Starting games for Swansea now, including a win over Woolwich.

Bad Week

Younes Kaboul

Captain he may be, but first choice he is not. The team looks a lot better without the Frenchman, and when he did play against Besiktas we saw that familiar shakiness return (albeit after a good first half). With Hector Moreno linked with a January move and a reunion with Poch, further question marks will pop up over Kaboul's place in the squad.

Emmanuel Adebayor

Firmly out of the first team picture, and results dictate that he will not be back anytime soon. Would not have any issue if Pochettino cut off all ties with the Togolese striker who has really struggled for goals and attitude.

Kyle Naughton

With Walker injured, the other Kyle had an opportunity to impress but suspensions and injuries stopped that, and DeAndre Yedlin's January arrival would seem to send Naughton towards the door marked Exit.

Aaron Lennon

I was dismayed to see Lennon not in the starting lineup in the dire goalless draw to Palace, but word is he is suffering from a persistent hamstring injury. Azza is not the greatest player when carrying an injury, especially one that effects his willingness to run at an opposition full back, and with some player sales surely needed in January and beyond the speedy winger might be rated expendable. Not the greatest time to be missing out.

Milos Veljkovic

Just not getting enough game time at Middlesbrough, which is a shame because the kid has impressed me whenever he has played for us, at various levels.

Jordan Archer and Kenneth McEvoy

McEvoy has already been sent back, while Archer will return in the New Year. It was surprising Archer even went to a League Two club so to be sent back is troublesome, while McEvoy started fairly brightly but looked out of depth.

I've been one of Lamelas harshest critics recently and rightly so imo but surely he deserves a mention in the Good week column if we're including the Burnley game?

By your use of the phrase "and rightly so", should one conclude that you've been using Alan Shearer's Guide to Football Punditry?;)

Can't agree that the central defensive partnertship looks solid. Looked dodgy against Palace and we ended up lucky, also havent been up against any real quality recently. They will be playing top class opposition over the next few weeks and we can see the test of this 'solidity'.
