I've been saying for a long time that Robbo needs to be dropped - surely after today MJ cannot continue to back him.

A defence needs to trust the keeper AND be organised on the pitch by the man in charge of the box. Robbo just has not got it any more - did you see James today? Differant class and yet a while ago he was as bad as Robbo is now.

The first step to fixing weaknesses is recognising that they exist.

Drop him, it's for his own good,it will do him the world of good,

Yup, drop him. I think Cerny's a more than capable keeper. Keeper's win you games, big time! Hence why Keane paid top dollar for Craig Gordon.

will dropping him give him the confidence needed? i agree that he's not performing but surely he realises it and is (hopefully) doing something about it....maybe a clean sheet for england will help....

we need to start defending better too...

He's had a few of them recently though... Didn't seem to do the trick...

It's long overdue now. It can't be helping his confidence to continue playing and making these errors. I think dropping him would be the best thing for all parties now.

Hmmmmn, what to do with Robbo.

As much as it pains me to see him making mistakes so frequently, I just can't seem to get my head round how dropping him would help him get his confidence back - I dunno, but it would be like kicking the man when he's down.

Hopefully having ten days with the national team will do some good. I just want the old Robbo back, earning us points rather than costing us points.

Come on Robbo, you're a good bloke, sort your shit out and let us sing England's number one with pride, not with a sense of embarrassment.

we should loan out him for Derby, Fulham, Middlesbrough etc ..
we can't start every game with 0-1 .. or telling the opponent ''you have goal as bounes during the match'' .. we can't tell the strikers to score two or three game per game .. to get 1 point !

also Chimbonda should be dropped ...

Well, it doesn't seem that keeping him there will make him any better. He hasn't been out of form just this season, he was out of form very much almost the whole last season as well. I'm starting to think we should look for a better keeper...and we need to defend better as well.

He went through an exact same patch of bad form last season, and he wasn't dropped. Admittedly, he improved marginally but it's happening again this season. We should really look at dropping him as it doesn't seem to help him either when he's confidence is shot and he can't even make a proper catch.

You think the fumble he made against Pool will give him more confidence? He played against that Cypriot team and it didn't give him any confidence either. People who keep wanting to keep him on should look at dropping him as a way to motivate him too. If he is top class keeper then he will motivate himself against competition (Cerny). Look at Newcastle's situation with Given. He knows Harper is always looking to provide strong competition and that spurs him on as he knows he is not guaranteed a place in the team.

We need to be doing the same with Robbo too as this he needs a kick up his arse as the soft either doesn't work or takes too long. We don't have luxury to wait for another 10 games before he returns to form.

I don't think he could have been dropped before the international break without totally undermining his confidence, but once England are secure then Spurs have to give Cerny the cups at least, and perhaps also the League until Robinson gets his act together.

A defence need to trust the keeper, but does the keeper not need to trust the defence, and at the moment i wouldn't trust ether of them...so drop them all? as they have been making as many mistakes as Robbo have, just not highlighted as much.

So many fans are behind him and we sing englands No.1 several times a game, other fans are laughing at us for it.

Mates (fans of other teams) have been telling me he's rubbish for over a year and i continued to defend him but enough is enough imo.

i agree ^^ enough is enough
he has put on weight and just doesnt look capable at any level
he cant dive (dives low) he cant catch, his distribution is poor,
he just about can't do anything and guarentees the team 2/3 mistakes a game
the whole team must be shook of confindence in him (leading to more goals)
just what does the fat bastard have to do to be dropped???????????????????
i feel bad for Cerny because he has to sit and watch this shit in our goal
and still waits on the bench not getting games.

It's worse when he makes another howler and the opposition fans sing Englands Number 1 back at us.

Cut him some slack, he only made 2 mistakes this week, which is an improvement of 1 from the Villa game. At this rate, all things being equal we should keep a clean sheet by Christmas.

Robbo will only be dropped when he tries to catch himself in midair. Makes sense? No
