The stadium debt will be paid off long term. The figures I've seen are £50m a year, but it will generate £100m so no real need to worry about that at the moment. Poch has mentioned several times in the past that we are ahead of schedule and that the plan was always to target champions League football and trophies once we got into the stadium. That was always going to take investment in the playing squad which is what we're seeing now. I'm not expecting us to spend £100m+ every season, but it makes sense as a one off to get us closer to the level that we want to be at.

I’ve not seen any figures myself but didn’t expect us to be paying the stadium off for 20 years or so if it has ended up costing roughly £1bn

I'd like to know where in this thread I wrote something I wrote before. I reacted to someone's post about having a midfield of 3 and they listed a bunch of our players + Lo Celso.
So I replied to them.Not you. Not open to everybody. It was also not intended as a wind up but you seem to be the only one that actually got wound up

Midfield from Eriksen, Dele, N'Dombele, Sissoko, Winks, Lamela and Lo Celso. It is fantastic but realistically only Sissoko will be happen with sitting on the bench a lot of the time. I think that Dele would have to get his scoring boots on and move up to the front line. Also most of these are on the attacking side of MF. Of course Winks can break up plays and Lamela can dig in defensively as can Dele but we would be weaker on the Defensive side. I do like attacking footie and but I think a bit too weak on the defensive side and would be loaded with talent and if we got Sessegnon that's another quasi attacker

Being accused of something doesn't make it true (although I don't believe @Yiddo1982 was directing this accusation at you). Your comment was clearly said in jest; a playful prod at another user but not remotely akin to bullying.

That said, it was off topic (much like the majority of this thread), so perhaps it's best deleted for that reason.

Just because it happens regularly in matchday threads doesn’t mean it isn’t bullying. Personally I avoid the matchday threads because the experience can be toxic.

I think we're going down a slippery slope that isn't for this thread. I guess we all have different thresholds on different subjects that will extract a response.
