I do agree with this, more or less, but Liverpool barely rotated at all last season. There’s something to be said for having a settled starting 11. They were lucky with injuries, though, especially up top.
Liverpool didn't rotate their front 3 much, but I'd argue that's largely because their front 3 are so clearly the best options in those positions - Shaqiri, Sturridge, Lallana and Origi are a huge step down. They did, however, rotate an awful lot in midfield with 5 players competing for 3 positions, and it would've been 6 had the Ox been fit.

Also, as you said, they were annoyingly lucky with injuries last season.

Think Lamela will seriously struggle for game time lo celso has so many different attributes, he could play anywhere from a deep lying midfielder to playing off Kane. Him and Ndombele are prophet statement signings I ain’t been this excited about a season since the days of Hoddle waddle and ardlies

Similar to his place in the national team

New players need to settle and they're not all going to hit the ground running. So the established squad players all have a big role to play.

Did seem like a crazy move he’s a bit better than betis . Consistent performer would get in a lot of premier league sides
Major injury problems are preventing the bigger clubs coming in. If he's clever he'd look at lo Celso and do the same with betis.

Well I have to say I never heard of GLC until a few weeks ago and I’ve never seen him play but I’ll be devastated if we don’t sign him!!!

Happens every season.

The worst is when you excitedly tell someone who doesn't closely follow football that we're finally about to sign [Insert New Signing] as if it's the biggest deal ever and they just look at you as if you've punched their dog.

"Nah honestly he's amazing! His link up play for Real Betis really is something else! Just check out this Youtube vid, the music is great! Where are you going??? :'("

You’ve definitely misunderstood his point there mate. He said they’re statement signings, and he hasn’t been this excited about Spurs since the days of Hoddle, Waddle and Ardiles. Those are two separate statements - he’s not comparing them to those 3 yet.

Fair one, but I still don't think they're THAT much of a statement, just my opinion. Great signings and what we need, but also the kind of signings we SHOULD be making at this stage, if we want to remain at this level and not slip out of the top 4.
People got excited when we spent the Bale money on those 7 signings, of which only 2 remain at the club and arguably only 1 really established them self as a crucial player to our first 11. We were spending big and people said then that this was a big statement of intent. In hindsight they didn't all quite work out and we offloaded 5 of them.

As I said, lets not get too excited just yet. Things are looking good and hopefully they all come off and fit straight in, as this team needs to win something now

Indeed, they're weren't in the champions League, didn't get anywhere in Europa.
Definitely not a laliga team I'd find a stream for
R to watch them play in the league .

So can really only go off YouTube, the recent copa and poch's desire to land him

I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned it in this thread before, but apparently GLC holds an Italian passport so hopefully the work permit won't take very long.

Another one seriously under-appreciating Dele, imo. He wasn't at his best last season but he was clearly knackered, and playing much deeper during the midfield crisis for the benefit of the rest of the team.

Put him back in the team just behind Kane, with a functional midfield behind him, and I think he'll be back to his best.

If GLC signs, he'll have signed to train. He needs to earn his spot, and we all know that's what Poch will think too.
I think how Southgate is playing him currently, on the left of a midfield 3 is going to end up being his best position.

Damn I hope they get to be without them for like 3-4 months. Let's see how good their depth is then...
