What was our original bid? 40m?

Knowing that they would have to give 10-12m back they'd only have made 28m profit which would only have just brought them in Fekir. It's clear Beits went for such a high value as they wanted money to replace and then invest further as the percentage sell on fee was so high.

Even 50m wouldn't leave them with a lot after

Oh god. I feel like a bit of a prick. After wanting us to take the next step for quite some time and invest alongside our already very, very good squad... I’m sat here thinking that, from the little I have seen of him, there would be better uses for this amount of money. It seems like the complaint of a spoiled child - but I just think that this vast amount of investment could be much better served elsewhere and that I haven’t seen Lo Celso (not that I am overly knowledgeable) exhibit the sort of quality that this price tag indicates...

Adding lo Celso and Ndombele to our midfield is absolutely game changing. With injuries we had we were so short there last season but we are going to dominate midfields and have so much quality up front. I’m even tentatively excited about Foyth and Sessegnon as full backs.

If we end this window adding Lo Celso on top of ndombele and keeping eriksen are midfield options are up there with the city some seriously good football would come from the link up

curlacious

Don’t look at me. I’m irrelevant.

The reality is if he proves a success his price tag will be forgotten and he'll be worth double. And the difference between taking a punt on a quality prospect (say, Grealish for £40m) and a proven performer at the top level is only about £20m.

Can see this happening along with Sessegnon. I think that'll be us done in terms of incomings..... unless we lose Toby and/or Eriksen. If Aurier goes then I'd expect a RB.

Really? He was so good last season. Can glide past players, has strength and can make things happen. He is very left footed but I wouldn’t worry too much, lefties are creative and he’s no different. He has a lot of dembele and Ndombele in him but more likely to get a goal.

Wouldn’t read much into Argentina games
