This deal isn’t as close as some have made it out to be...no way it would be this quiet. We were getting regular updates in the Ndombele deal. Maybe that was more to do with their chairman to be fair.

Ndombele was wanted by more clubs, he is more known player, Lyon is more known club and Aulas commented publicly about that deal. That's why.

I think this might be going along with our general transfer timeline. I feel like any time we make a big signing there’s always some stories of some other bigger club in the background vaguely before it starts accelerating up.

Lo Celso wouldnt have joined the tour until later on since he is getting some rest post- Copa America so I'm not in a rush to conclude the deal. It seems like it's ours to make and the other clubs interested are very passive in their interest and we're waiting Betis out to get a reasonable transfer fee. The reports that we've agreed personal terms are probably behind a little bit but doesn't Betis have to give us permission to negotiate terms with him? That wouldn't happen unless it were close.

No club makes a bid without agreeing terms/ confirming the player wants to come, otherwise waste of time. Permission irrelevant.

In regards to Bayern, they're the clear favourites to land Havertz from Bayer next season. He's even done an interview about it, and as they're not massive spenders I can't see them chasing Lo Celso too intently. Especially as they have to replace Ribery too.

Bayern are so smart, just waiting out the end of the premier league window. Then calling for Pepe and Werner and saying yep, you guys (Lille and RB) missed your chance at that sweet sweet premier league money now come to papa.

But doubt they’re seriously after Lo Celso. They need a DM and wingers. They have Muller and Thiago for that #10 sort of role. Not too mention and overload of CMs.

Ndombele looked like a definite push to buy.
Along with Lo Celso there was talk of Ceballos and a possible deal with RM, Zaniolo also etc
Somehow we didn't go for it 100%.Ceballos and RM and Eriksen seemed a possibility a few weeks ago.
Now everyone is keyed on Lo Celso.
But nobody on our side seems to be pushing.

There's most likely a lot going on behind closed doors that we have no idea about, I highly doubt our dear leader Daniel is just sitting in his office twiddling his thumbs.

Bayern in for...?

They can't/won't:
  • Match the fee we can pay.
  • Match the wages we can offer.
  • Provide countryman Poche as manager.

Wouldn't surprise me if the deal is pretty much done and he's simply been on holiday this week.

Ndombele started to move quickly once he got back. I believe news broke on the Sunday night, he came over on the Monday and it was announced on the Tuesday.

Could see similar happening with Lo Celso and Sessegnon, although I guess the tour could complicate things.

The Audi Cup matches have to be the aim for Lo Celso. I'll be worried if we've heard nothing by then.

Probably just waiting for Betis to get a few players in as they have been linked with 2 players at 20m+ each

TOTTENHAM POUSSE FOR LO CELSO. ARSENAL WOULD LIKE TO TICKLE THEM

Arsenal and Tottenham are not just fighting on the pitch or in the hearts of Londoners. The two big enemies fight another big battle on the mercato by targeting the same target: midfielder Lo Celso (23 years). And the Betis could well benefit from this fierce fight for the Argentine promise.

LO CELSO PREFERS TOTTENHAM

Tottenham are the favourites to host Lo Celso this summer. Spurs are continuing discussions with Betis and are already agreeing with the player. Daniel Levy, the very tough chairman of Tottenham, is decided this summer, after not spending last year, to densify his squad.

He did not hesitate, for example, to make an oral offer of more than 60 million euros for Gio. The valuation of the player is estimated by the market players to be around 70 million euros. At that price, Levy will be there and would like to close the case quickly. But Arsenal would like to titillate him

ARSENAL WANT TO TICKLE THE SPURS

As with the track to Dani Ceballos (Real Madrid), the Gunners have begun discussions with the player's entourage. Despite a smaller budget than Spurs, the London club intends to play its all-way until the end. The 23-year-old midfielder is very happy about Arsenal's plan, where he would be reunited with his former coach Unai Emery, who brought him to life.

The Spanish leaders, know the preference of their Argentine jewel, and the battle should be played in England. But, not far away, a third club whose identity has not filtered, has interfered in the file.
