Have to feel pretty good about this one. We seem to be the only club from a big league interested, Betis are buying a highly priced replacement, and Lo Celso has informed them he wants to leave.

I know exactly what you know, that both press and itk are indicating that positive changes are in store, that as yet nothing negative has happened, that so far we have done both our most important piece of business as well as the best piece of any top club and that the season is still over three weeks away.

Basically, there is literally nothing tangibly negative happening that you, me or anybody else without links to the club can possibly know of, and you’re acting like we’re a mess.

I think there are several moving parts - RB selling price for GLC, Madrid buying price for Eriksen, whether DC wants to come with an option for us to buy.

Ideal for us would be agreeing a price for GLC soon, then letting things play out with RM. If the price is reasonable, don't think buying GLC would be dependent on selling Eriksen. Selling Eriksen would depend on price offered by RM and whether DC comes (with an option to buy).

We might (not ideal) sell Eriksen without getting DC but only if RM offered a good price. Otherwise we'd probably keep Eriksen for the season and plan to buy a replacement next summer.

Also possible that if RB hold out for a ridiculous price which we won't pay, we'd still sell Eriksen for a good price if we got DC with an option. Far from ideal but maybe better than holding on to a want away Eiksen.

What I'm certain we wouldn't do is sell Eriksen without getting either GLC or DC effectively on a permanent transfer. Afraid this may play out to the end of the TW.

Agreed, though Grey Fox indicates we will shortly have much to be happy about.

Maybe. But there's really no way Betis signs Fekir and keeps GLC. Which also leads to me believe that Betis would never invest time and energy in to neogitating with Lyon + agents without a deal for GLC being close or even imminent.

Yeah, I think it probably does, but it does also mean that a fee hasn't been agreed yet. Considering the player is also (presumably) going to be on holiday for a week or two yet, I can see this one dragging on into August.

You are not wrong. Its a question of how bad we want the player. We saw from the Ndombele deal that we didn't take too much time ,thats the player we wanted and we were going to get him (we get the benefit of hindsight I agree) but in this case we are bouncing around several AMs and also the elephant in the room is Eriksen and there is no news on that. That's what adds up for me,it doesn't add up yet.

Actually this mirrors the Ndombele deal very closely, Ndombele's deal was delayed while Lyon got in replacements and because he was away on holiday for two weeks. With Lo Celso Betis are buying their replacements and the player is away on holiday, the only difference is that Lo Celso was away playing in the Copa America so there was a longer timescale.

I think we are in great shape I don't think I've said anything negative so why not let me know?
Ndombele was a fantastic buy and our team is growing. Nit sure what you are getting at

The reports on the last page & that all ITK's basically said that GLC is not dependant on Eriksen and we're still confident.

Mayb im just taking it all for granted already..
