Anyone watch many Betis matches? He seems like a tremendous prospect (and obviously not a finished product) but based off statistics he's more of a scorer than a creator. Of course this can be due to many factors including the players around him etc. Just curious as to how he could adjust to being more of a distributor than a finisher.

@Ghost Hardware thoughts?

Football Whispers did an article on him recently where they said he was freed up by Betis to play in a more advanced role at Betis, so it's more by design than anything. They said he added poaching to his game which helped with the goal tally. He played deeper at PSG and in Argentina and still impressed a lot of people there, apart from the PSG sporting director last summer I guess!

LO Celso and ndombele, I just feel like you guys have learnt absolutely nothing from previous transfer windows
Oh we have but I reckon the CL final, new stadium and another season of CL has given us all hope again. I know I'm going to be disappointed but I would love to see us finally get players of this calibre. We need to as much as i want us to imo. 20+ points behind the top 2 isn't where we need to be

60m Euro for me is a more than reasonable bid from us considering they bought the player for 22m and cant see us going higher. I think this has been leaked by them to bring others to the table but can’t see them offering more than us either

I think it will likely come down to how the fee is paid. 60m Euros with the majority of the fee in an initial installment may be worth more to a club like Betis than 80m Euros paid out over a few years.

I'm optimistic about this one for the following reasons...

Madrid want Hazard, Pogba and Eriksen and seemingly in that order. How much is that lot going to cost them? 250m? 300m? They won't be spending an extra 60m + on a 4th attacking mid/midfielder. Unless they are planning on ditching signing Eriksen, which obviously benefits us. But they may feel that Eriksen is more gettable considering his contract situation.

Man Utd are having a big rethink about how they recruit, they seem to be wanting players a bit closer to home (James). Are they really going to continue going down the route of spending 60m on players that could be a risk (Fred) or will they try to be smarter? It remains to be seen. I do think Lo Celso would be much less of a risk for us as I believe Poch is exactly the right coach to integrate him into the prem.
