I hadn’t really seen much of him prior to this game. 7 minutes in and I think we should just pay the 70 million immediately and get him signed.

Feel the same way, hes playing on the right in a 4231 and he would fit our fluidity perfectly.

Couple of times hes swapped seamlessly with messi and gone central, his passing has been great even in tight spaces but that the way he won the ball by his corner flagged and then dribbled away. Fucking hell he looks good and as you say, only 10 mins in.

He generally plays CM or CAM, but has also been used on the right or even up top by Betis.

Yep, Sanchez was phenomenal tonight. My (biased admittedly) man of the match.

Lo Celso was in and out of it after the first 10-15 minutes, where he was superb. But the same could be said for Agentina’s entire attack, and the fact he was kept on in favour of both Di Maria and Aguero says a lot about how he’s viewed within the Argentina setup. You can see the talent a mile off.

I think Sanchez is poised for a breakout season this year, he’s adjusted to the league and will feel like he should be competing for playing time whether Toby stays or goes.

It wasn't possible for Lo Celso to show what he can do in a team with no balance, no organisation, no support on the right flank or in front. He made some nice short passes and chased back too but overall Columbia was a much superior side. Impressed with Sanchez btw.
