Part of me hopes we don't sign him as whenever I read GLC I can't help but think of Ken Livingstone which I really don't want to do. Apologies to the youngsters for the obscure London in the 80's reference.

That in turn makes you think 'Red Ken', and we can't have THAT color associated with our club!

You pay for future performance not past performance. As great as Isco has been I’d rather have Lo Celso developing under Pochettino’s tutelage into his peak years.

Pochettino has made it seemingly clear he wants GLC this window as well. I'd rather he gets the players he wants. He's earned that right.

This is the related story
https://www.estadiodeportivo.com/betis/2019/07/11/continuo-contacto-celso/233662.html

Essentially says, Betis with the cash from sale is first trying to tie up the striker deal(28m€ ) for Borja Iglesias from Espanyol. Deal is very close for LoCelso and he will earn 150k a week.
Key Quote for me is- 'Despite the current differences, both clubs are obliged to understand each other, being the mutual desire to reach an agreement. The Betis , meanwhile, understands that it is time to get close the highest selling history heliopolitana entity'

Am I right in saying this is a shit source? @THFCSPURS19 ?

I'd take Isco if Eriksen leaves, Lo Celso should be signed regardless of whether Eriksen stays or goes.

Agreed. I just really want Lo Celso done now because anyone else of quality in central midfield following that signing I think will leave us looking so strong with of course Ndombele already with us and also with Sissoko, Winks and Dier also currently here. That would provide us with so much strength and options for rotation in there. I can't quite find myself looking to include Eriksen in any visions of us next season until there is more clarification on his situation.

A midfield of Ndombele, Lo Celso and Isco would feel crazy elite but I' not going to dwell on any thought of Isco when there isn't even any link to him.

Nowhere else to put it but does anyone think the mystery under 21 might be Moise Kean, the highly rated Juventus striker? He’s available, highly sought after, we’ve tracked him in the past and Hercs’ recent ITK refers to giving Parrott a shot unless a more talented individual can be snapped up. There’s also a reference to teens costing circa £25m and up. Everton have reportedly had a bid of circa €30m turned down.
Juventus would be stupid to sell him hut would defo take this

I think the player hinted at is 17/18 going by the sounds of things, maybe the difficulty comes from the fact that the player we could be after would need a work permit or something along those lines?

Anyway, we don't have anywhere to discuss it, like with the rest of the transfers we seems to have rolling at the moment, hopefully all will become clearer over the next week (well at least I hope so!)

We can't even afford GLC *unless* we sell Eriksen, much less buy him and Isco. Love the idea, but this is NEVER happening.
I'm sure we can afford Lo Celso now otherwise we wouldn't have bid on him and be in negotiations when Eriksens future is still undecided. We could sign Lo Celso now and then if we sell Eriksen use the money for Isco or someone else.

How do you know that? ITK have said that neither the Ndombele or Lo Ceslo purchases are dependent on CE, or anyone else, being sold first. The only people who would know for sure will be the THFC board of directors.

We turned a world-record £113m profit in the most recent published accounts and then earned enormous sums in the CL last season on top of it. Yes we have the stadium debt to pay but Tifo Football's breakdown of the financing indicated that the excess revenue generated by the stadium is expected to more than service the debt repayments.

We've got ample money to throw around, I certainly don't necessarily expect by any means that Levy will want to part with it but I think it's within the realm of possibility that we could manage a major net spend.

Well this is the local news agency of Sevilla & Real Betis. It’s like saying Alastair Gold is a shit source. They may not put out great journalistic articles but they do get a sense of what’s happening at their local clubs
Pretty sure they're not the ones who originally reported the 'meeting in a restaurant' stuff and they're not the top tier local source for Betis.

I think they release a new article on Lo Celso everyday which makes me sceptical.
