Definitely want us to try and kill this off tonight, rather than potentially have a 2nd leg that goes to E/T penalties. Wembley's a bitch to get away from at the best of times!!!

I know sweet FA about this lot but saw they lost to a team in the relegation zone at home on Saturday. Maybe resting players?
Belgian here. If we underestimate Gent (like we did with Wycombe in the FA cup), we could be in real trouble. Gent hasn't performed well this season, but strenghtened their squad in the january mercato. They beat Club Brugge, best team in Belgium, at home 2 weeks ago - proof of of their solid home reputation in a fantastic stadium. It was Brugge's first defeat in 14 games.

Their coach is a solid tactician who led them to the title 2 years ago. A massive achievement for AA Gent. They even qualified for the CL second round the year after. So be sure their coach is experienced and knows how to set a team up. Their players will be fired up for this as well and will be backed by a great crowd.

Unfortunately I expect Poch to make some changes to the starting eleven. This, combined with us underestimating them (think Sunderland Away), makes me feel uncomfortable about this game. Could see a draw. It will not be a pushover...

They did lose to Eupen (13th in the league) at Home 5 days ago though.

True, but Eupen played ultra defensively from the the start and only scored because the AA Gent keeper mis-hit a back pass (or rather: airballed a back-pass).

Anyway, not saying Gent is Bayern Munich, but they are comparable to our last Belgian opponent Anderlecht, and we lost to them 2-1 in Brussels last season.

Strong team with Winks please.

Would actually like to see CCV with Toby next to him.

Players id rest- Dembele, Kane, and Dier or Toby. want to see Winks, Wimmer and GKN given good game time. Keep in the likes of Alii and Eriksen and maybe rest them on Sunday- should be strong enough tonight to get a result

Looking forward to this one! Really hoping for a reaction from the players, and a few away goals.

A clean sheet is probably too much to ask at the moment ha.

With no PL game this weekend i really hope we put out our strongest team available. Although at this point i'm not quite sure what exactly that is.

We'll put out a stronger team than usual tonight.

Therefore I expect some sort of performance and a win...........But this is Spurs. In Europe.

2-0 or 3-0 to us. I have a feeling in my wee-wee.

You're going to be mightily disappointed. Not because I don't think we will play well, but because you have no respect for our opponent.

Totally agree, Genk is a decent side, and the match means so much for to them then it does to us.

Like I said. I'll be happy with a draw, but will be satisfied with a single goal lost. An away goal would be bonus.

I am expecting some changes to the side, think Eriksen, Son and Dele on the bench. We might start with Kane to see if we can nick an away goal.
