I still don't think the Clyne thing is their smartest move. I mean sure he's not first choice but with the FA Cup, Champions League and Title race rotation will be needed and they don't have many other RB options. Trent AA is great for them and Gomez CAN play there... but Gomez is a better CB. Which leaves who for RB?

Personally think it's a great move, they should loan out Van dijk whilst they're at it.

They need another fullback (Bournemouth - injuries), it seems like a perfect match, game time in the prem while Liverpool figure out what they are going to do there.

What an insanely good deal for Liverpool, they probably have a buy back as well. They always manage to get really good prices for their flops. I guess they pay the agents handsomely.

I really hope Chelsea dont get Lozano, that would be really annoying, rate him a lot.

Oh for sure, Bournemouth it makes a lot of sense for. They get a prem level RB in Clyne and Solanke who was highly rated not that long ago, whilst letting an old JD go. So logic on there side.

Not seeing it fully from Liverpools... and tbh I'm okay with that and hope they live to regret it.

If only, unfortunately Liverpool have a tendency to buy players when they need them.

Liverpool have got some serious dark arts going on with their sales. £18m for Ibe, £6m for Brad Smith, £8m for Kevin Stewart and £19m plus add ons now for Solanke. Even Coutinho was hugely overpriced.

What am I missing?!
Is £19m a lot of money for Solanke? Chelsea have just paid £60m for Pulisic but Leicester paid around £20m for Madison so it doesn't seem inflated. I do think it's a great move for Solanke though, whether it allows Callum Wilson to move to Chelsea we'll have to see.

Maddison was Norwich's (and possibly the Championship's) best player last season. Solanke's spent 18 months doing bugger all at Liverpool.

Yeah, it’s a stupid amount of money for him considering he has done absolutely nothing.

It is, but in all honesty, an English player that's young and done well for the youth teams. That's 10-15mil straight away, rightly or wrongly.

The market for English players at prem/even top of champ level is ridiculous.

Can't imagine why when he only had Salah, Mane and Firmino ahead of him.
He was a hot property when he went to Liverpool a world cup winner wasn't he? I guess he'd have probably had a higher profile had he been playing in the championship with Norwich but I imagine Bournemouth are banking on him fulfilling his potential and I really don't think £19m is extortionate in that case.

I'd imagine similar to like they did with Ibe. Their spending the money on the potential which a team like Bournemouth should be doing. It seems to be working with players like Brooks.

Only just realised that he cost £15m. Looks a really good signing now. What's happened to Ibe?

That's the gamble, buy a player who is realistically worth 5mil for 10mil because of potential, turns out great...worth triple.

Buy a Jordan Ibe, get ridiculed.

They are following the spurs model from a few years back and doing it well...minus the whole defence thing.

That's the question with buying players. Is it what they're worth now or what they could be worth. When they bought Ibe he was on the rise and looked like he could kick off but hasn't.

Brooks has and maybe Solanke being essentially the lead striker there could, so that 19 mil could end up looking like a great bit of business.

I haven't followed him much but I'd assume a mix of injuries plus also not actually being that good. But he still gets game time at Bournemouth and feel like he's an okay squad player there.

Think Liverpool are crazy to loan out Clyde as they should be rotating him with Alexander-Arnold.

Gomez if fit should be playing at centre back instead of that clown Lovren.

Solanke move is interesting as Bournemouth already quite strong up top with Wilson and King so it’s still not gonna be easy for Solanke to get games...

There was a story going around last year that Clyne had done something disgraceful (can't remember what now) but from that moment he's barely had a look in. They could be desperate to offload.
