Still so so gutted we didn't get Sancho (although as others have said we'd have probably stuck him in our youth team and had him training with first team for at least 2 years lol).

Just imagine if he had come in and had the same first season break through impact Dele had though.

IF he had been willing to come to us (this was alluded to but also at same time I can see why he would easily have picked Dortmund over us) I personally would have said to City you ain't getting Walker unless you give us dibs on him.

This is the kind of player we should be pushing hard for as we still aren't really in the top league when it comes to getting the top top talent and we need to get the ones we can polish ourselves.

Although a small positive is he is gaining fantastic experience at Dortmund now so will be a really good option for the national team... *sigh*.

Defoe to Rangers on an 18 month loan. He's 36, I'm amazed Rangers have committed to him for that long.

Then again, it is Scotland.

What I don’t understand is those crying about missing out on N’Dombele a year ago yet they are in despair that we’re being linked with Berge and the likes.

Berge could well be N’Dombele of a year ago!

Pulisic isn’t too much of a worry imo. De Jong? He’s holding out for Barca apparently, so kind of understand that. Don’t they want like £80m for him too now? Prices are just ridiculous! He’s done nothing to justify that sort of fee

He could play in that league for 3-4 seasons. Wouldn't need to move outsode of the penalty box and will still get 20+ goals a season. Apart from Hibs/Hearts/Aberdeen it's a big drop off in quality from Rangers and Celtic to the rest.

I'm more amazed that his contract with a premier league club is at least another 18 months long, for this to be a loan deal

Yeah, Bournemouth really ballsed that up. Remember when they signed him everyone was shocked the deal was three years.

Loads of rumours today. I know thats mostly what they are, but Lozano would be another great signing for Chelsea. He'd be an excellent Willian replacement & the reported 36m doesnt sound mad in todays market.

Looks like PSG have blown everyone out of the water for the ajax pair too.

Forgetting PSG, I dont care how bought in to a project you are, its got to get to Poch that our rivals (chelsea) can drop, reportedly the best part of 100m and its not seen as a big thing.

Liverpool have got some serious dark arts going on with their sales. £18m for Ibe, £6m for Brad Smith, £8m for Kevin Stewart and £19m plus add ons now for Solanke. Even Coutinho was hugely overpriced.

What am I missing?!

Solanke leaving Liverpool makes sense. There's still potential with him but they weren't playing him. He'll get a lot more game time at Bournemouth (though I do worry that might be at the expense of Callum Wilson who could go Chelsea).

Clyne is an interesting one. Sure he's not first choice there and doesn't play much... but if he goes who are there other back up RB's? Gomez is out injured and by all accounts a better CB. So who plays when TAA can't? Seems an odd thing to do at this stage in the title race unless they have someone comin' in.

How in the blue fuck do Liv keep getting these fucking prices for players. Ings Ibe and Solanke is worth 9 Million between the three and Ings is about 7.5 of that.

Christ almighty. 19M for Solanke. This is what drives the craziness of the market. Of course Coutinho goes for over 100M when players who have done nothing at all are going for this type of sum. And you'd think Eddie Howe would've learned from Ibe? It's not that the guy doesn't have potential, but they are paying a premium up front that should be in add-ons (at best).

wouldn't surprise me. the chavs are dead in the water without a proper striker (am obv not including morata as he's shit and giroud is always injured these days) and they know it. got to be them if he's moving.....
Zola has already mentioned (before the Christmas fixtures) that they were interested. Seems a large wedge of cash. Talk of Clyne going on loan (to Bournemouth) until the end of the season aswell. Liverpool must be loving this.

I still don't think the Clyne thing is their smartest move. I mean sure he's not first choice but with the FA Cup, Champions League and Title race rotation will be needed and they don't have many other RB options. Trent AA is great for them and Gomez CAN play there... but Gomez is a better CB. Which leaves who for RB?
