Good signing for them but yeah if it is pointing towards Hazard going then that is a serious downgrade.

The going rate for players is astonishing. 58m? They saw you coming Chelsea.

Although I would have liked him to sign for us, But, you snooze you lose.

It is a pretty big fee for a player who hasn't hit double figures in assists or goals in a single season. But he is still young. Difficult one really, he has huge potential but I'd rather we spent money on a CM.

If they lose Hazard, it's close to being an impossible job to replace him. A bit like losing Bale. Pulisic's got plenty of upward curve in him though. And it means Chelsea will dominate in the America market.

£58m for him is madness, especially when they’re not getting him for six months and he only has 18 months left on his contract. With that in mind, anything less than £90m for Eriksen before January 2020 is a steal.

Ridiculous really that there are teams that can just casually splash 58m on a player in January.

Really shows what we're competing against and how well we're doing to even be close to some of these teams let alone ahead of them.

Given that attacking players are valued much higher then defenders, is £58m for Pulisic that much different to £42m for Davinson Sánchez? I don't think they've drastically overpaid.

They're effectively just spending it in summer though, seeing as he is staying at Dortmund for now.
Similar to how Liverpool got Keita.
Two examples of teams doing getting their deals done in plenty of time. Meanwhile Levy does jack until deadline day at best.

When they are asking £40 million for Hudson-Odei, I would say £56 million is a snip.

Was the loan back required to push the deal through? Or Chelsea just trying to spite us?
