I think he's excellent and has been completely wasted by Wenger.

Agree. Wenger never utilized him properly. Keeps playing him in different positions and very rarely given him a true run of games in one position. He's got the talent but Wenger doesn't seem to be the best manager for him.

If Conte can make Moses into a title winning wing back, he can do pretty good with Ox too.

So, Chelsea and Man City have joined Liverpool in the race for Virgil van Dijk. £70m is the price that's being thrown around. Personally, I can't say that I've seen him play that much, but whenever we've played against him or in the little I have seen of him, he's never looked anything other than average. Is he currently one of the best CB's in the world, as the price would suggest?

Yeah but you know prices aren't synonymous with ability especially this summer. He's a good defender not the best but has the potential to be one of the best in the league I feel.

My outstanding memory of him playing is last season (I think) when Harry Kane sent him down the shops while he went on to score against Southampton at St Mary's...probably not the best way to judge him as HK often makes some very good defenders look muggy.

Two seasons ago actually. But yeah, I'm yet to see anything from him that puts him in the top "must buy at any price" bracket.

Ronny Deila, his old Celtic boss, tore him to shreds in Norway's PL studio after a match last season. Called him out on his concentration, said he was always good for a big mistake every match, and called him a bit of a billy big bollocks too.

Oxlade-Chamberlain to Chelsea ??.......

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...x-premier-league-move-news-live-a7893136.html

Never really rated the lad that highly so this rumour is very puzzling....can't see why Conte would want him.

Chelsea only have Cahill, Fabregas and Moses who count as home grown, at the moment they can only register 20 senior (i.e. over 21) players and Kenedy is the only u21 player they don't need to register who has any kind of game time for them. It's the same reason Man City bought Delph.

Is he not just going to play him as a WB like he does Moses? (Apologies i can't recall which side either plays)

This is also a good point, it's funny though because Chelsea have more than enough players it's just they're all sent out on loan

Yet they've about 10 English players out on loan, some of which could do a job in the 25 Man squad. They'd rather spend a shit load of money on a player who can't even nail down a position at Arsenal.
