Out of genuine curiosity, how do you know all this?
Difficult to say how, but pretty solid.

Actually made me a Little sad as not in one of the top leagues.

I guess things change but this was enough for me to stake some wedge on it

If it’s not one of the top leagues must be somewhere with crazy tax laws, or none whatsoever. Only way the financials make sense. Probably Monaco or some team in Lichtenstein lol

It was a weird one, so I only put 20 quid on it at odds of 20-1 - didn’t wanna bet the house on information that may not be right ?

Agreed. Which is why I feel Eriksen would struggle to fit in as he seems fairly humble and keeps to himself

This is something i’ve been thinking about too. Eriksen isn’t the showboater type that grabs the attention in the way Ronaldo does, but I guess he could fit the same sort of mould as Modric has at Madrid, if the fans will allow him. Though it is a big ask to be as consistently (and quietly) excellent as Modders has for so long.

What’s so strange about the situation with Bale is that he has absolutely, unequivocally delivered the headline moments when it has mattered most, yet has never been taken to the heart of their support. He was never going to harbour the CR7 Cult of Personality, but I cannot fathom how he has come to be such a vilified figure.

Don’t you think fans would be pissed knowing how much money he is taking, add to this he has injuries then add Real Madrid are not doing great at the moment (Not his fault). I think players need to know with that massive pay cheque comes extra criticism from fans. His salary is really crazy, spurs fans would also be harsh to similar situation.

The ghost of Ronaldo. He may never had a hope of harbouring the CR7 cult of personality, but their simpleton fans expected it anyway.

Won the domestic cup in spectacular fashion. More or less won one CL trophy. Absolutely won another CL trophy in spectacular fashion. The guy would be a legend for any other club, but their moronic fans can’t see past Messi and Barca.

I read yesterday that he was off to Bayern.

Not beyond reason. Would suit him, they can handle those wages, he wouldn’t be playing in the Prem against us, and he’s a very likely discussed fallback option if Sane didn’t work out.

Bayern sounds a decent bet, until you look at their top earner - Lewandowski on around £200k p/w.

Bale isn't worth £650k p/w AND the £1-2m p/w in pay rises Bayern would need to give out to avoid a mutiny.

So Bayern would likely be after the same deal we would be.

i.e. a loan with Real paying 60-70% of his wages.

Which was roughly the terms of the Rodrigues loan. £350k p/w of which Bayern paid around £110k p/w.

You'd think PSG was the favorite if Neymar goes. Can't imagine him in China with the family. Bayern, Italy and Man U would come in next on the odds. And while i doubt his return to N London, it is not impossible though. Bale isn't wired like most players. The three factors in our favor are the family in London, his past history at the club and if he thinks he is the missing piece that could take us to the pinnacle and hence vindication on a grand scale. Levy would have to be massively creative as no party is going to take a bath in this one. But he is motivated differently and I am not sure that any of us understand his thought process especially since they are playing their cards so close to the chest.

Bizarrely though, some of their fans even booed Ronaldo. They are just not a good bunch of 'supporters'
