I wish I had your guys confidence in FFP. There was an article on the BBC today saying that they could buy Pogba and still be well within FFP rules, despite having already spent 300 million this Summer.
I can’t see anything else happening unless he’s prepared to take a huge pay cut and nothing indicates that’s the caseDespite all the posturing the outcome I think which will be most likely is that Bale will be reintegrated into the Madrid first team.I don't see him coming to us, or going anywhere else.

I don't recall specifics but their spend over the last few years has actually been (relatively) very small so they have plenting if scope for spending.
And some big sales including CR7 to Juve...I don't recall specifics but their spend over the last few years has actually been (relatively) very small so they have plenting if scope for spending.
That’s the bit I’m not sure about. And this is based on absolutely nothing but opinion, of course. But Why would they have to cut their losses? It’s Real Madrid. They’re one of the very few clubs in the world who can absorb another Winston Bogarde situation. They don’t need to sell to buy, do they? And given that they don’t - and that they have their fans completely onside when it comes to Bale - they have no reason to sell him. Unfortunately, I think they’re able to let him play golf.
The BBC article was saying that if they amortise the value of all their transfers across the length of the player contracts, they are actually going to be way below the limit, because they haven't spent as much over the past few seasons.Madrid have to bring in around £100mil in transfer revenue to meet FFP requirements based upon their purchases so far - and they’ve not finished spending yet. They’re likely going to have to agree some sort of deal where they’ll accept a reduced fee to allow the buying club to pay a large signing-on fee or agree to pay a substantial wage contribution in he’s used as part of a swap deal.
I think the early close to the PL window will scupper us on this. Madrid will try and play hardball til the last minute then ship him off somewhere at the end of August

I was about to post something similar. FFP will be about balancing player wages and depreciation against all revenues, including player sales. This would be correct, assuming FFP follows regular accounting rules (I assume it does).
Purchases hit the income statement as the transfer fee amortizes evenly over the contract tenor. Sales hit the income statement immediately (sales price minus remaining book value of asset).

Pinch of salt and that but a mate of mine from Cardiff is mates with someone in Bale's circle of friends (yeah I know, the old friend of a friend crap).
Anyway, he told me about a week ago that theyve all had a bet on GB playing in China next year. When he told me I had a look at Skybet at that outcome was 6/1, but didnt think anything of it.
Had another look Monday and it was 3/1, and as of 5 mins ago it was 6/5.
Probably bs but my mate reckons his pal is genuine
Except we aren’t interested in him and we aren’t going to pay him 3x Kane’s salary.I think the early close to the PL window will scupper us on this. Madrid will try and play hardball til the last minute then ship him off somewhere at the end of August
