we already have a +29 GD, anyone remember the days we were happy to finish the season with a +GD:ROFLMAO:

In 6 weeks (Sat 3rd Dec - Sat 14th January) we've won 5 league games by at least 3 goals.

I remember not too long ago you could guarantee we'd be biting our nails until the 94th minute of every damn game!

I think that's where this season the head to head against teams in the top six is so important. If we get 3 points against city, we will have done well so far. It's going to be tough though, but this team seams to relish in playing against top six sides.

not sure relish is right word, out of 6 matches P6 - W2 - D2 - L2 - F7 - A5 - PTS 8 GD+2

Liverpool = P5 - W3 - D2 - L0 - F9 - A6 - PTS 11 GD+3
Chelscum = P6 - W3 - D0 - L3 - F9 - A6 - PTS 9 GD evens
Tottenham = P6 - W2 - D2 - L2 - F7 - A5 - PTS 8 GD+2
Man C = P5 - W2 - D0 - L3 - F5 - A8 - PTS 6 GD-3
Arscum = P5 - W1 - D2 - L2 - F9 - A8 - PTS 5 GD+3
Man U = P5 - W1 - D2 - L2 - F4 - A8 - PTS 5 GD-4

At home maybe. We lost to Chelsea and Man U away.

We'd need a notable drop in form in the second half of the season not to break our record points total now. Obviously we've seen that happen more times than we'd like but I'd be pretty confident of getting at least the required 27 points from the final 17 games to break AVB's record.

The problem is - everyone has picked up their game this year. After 21 games last season Arsenal were top of the league with only 43 points, they're on more than that this year but are only in 4th. Even Man Utd who are in 6th are on 40 points, which would have them finishing on 72 points if averaged over a season - Arsenal came 2nd last year with less than that.

The gulf between the top 6 and the rest is huge this year and there are some fucking dreadful teams at the bottom that everyone is going to clean up against. It would not surprise me if somebody misses out on CL qualification with 80 points this season.

One positive of the current standings is that we are in a higher position than this time last year, as well as having more points.

well that was daylight robbery even if I'll accept it all day long when you consider the times v City away when the ref missed plenty of wrong decisions that cost us.

I shall add this to the original post, shame those that did other charts last season are not this season

Aren't you aware that there shouldn't be any movements until the next TW opens. :whistle:

Moving home, getting married, going on holiday, being ill
during the season may result in a ban.
Priorities need urgently sorting here.
As dictated to me by A&C

We lost to Leicester at home last season, so this season we gained one extra point by drawing, no?

correct, at the time we played Leicester we were minus 2 points worse off than last season, so after that game we were -1

This is probably too much maths for me, but how are you getting a current projection of 72 points?

last season we finished on 70pts, at the moment game for game comparison compared to last season, if every result finished the same way as they did last season we would be on 72pts

of our remaining 12 games against the teams we still have to face swapping the the promoted for those relegated we gained 19pts

we won 5 Palace away, Watford, Bournemouth & Man U at home, and Hull (swapped with Villa) away = 15pts
we drew 4 Everton at home, Swansea away, Leicester away, and Arscum at home = 4pts
we lost 3 Southampton at home, Wet Spam and Newcatle (this season Burnley) away

19 + 53 =72
